My Bestfriend is a man. When he entered into his relationship, we both agreed that there were some behaviors that needed to be stopped such as calls until dawn, hugs, visiting without prior notice. We are still super close but i told him to prioritize his relationship and to make sure that he doesn’t have to chose between her and me. There are time when his girlfriend includes me into their activities, they are time when we hang out her and i. All and for all, everybody knows their place.

Birthday discussion : With my friends we have an unspoken rule that everyone pays for the birthday person. And we all do the same for each other birthdays. We either devide her meal + drinks between the number of people present + pay for our own (if we all took deferent price meal). Or devide everything between the number of people present if it's like buffet or group meal. We always try to find a restaurant/ activity within everyones budget so it's not to expensive. And if we go for something more expensive we will plan accordingly so everyone can budget for it. I would love to be able to pay for everything but Switzerland is expensive 😅 and I'm not rich so. Godwilling one day I'll be able to do that 🙏🏿 PS: ( I personally always have enough money to pay for my meal just in case)

I have a very close cousin who's birthday was the same day as my cousin. They always celebrated it on the same weekend. So naturally I never attended my friends birthday because my cousin was one of those people that planned ALL her weekends from January and my friend always left it till last month or 2 to arrange something.....I think eventually my friend felt some type of way but what could I have done 🤷🏾‍♀️

RE Birthday dinner at Eadn: I booked a late table for 6 of my friends no minimum spend involved and we stayed after the booking to enjoy the party. Sometimes you have more fun and it’s easier to organise by narrowing down your list of friends xx

I grew up differently, if you have a birthday dinner or even just a special event and you invite people to come celebrate you, you should feed them. Paying for your own birthday dinner should be normal. Making people split the bill for YOUR dinner, sounds crazy to me. HOwever.. things changed in the passed 3 years, he just happened to be going through a divorce and as a supportive friend I was very much present.. and everything changed after the divorce was finalized. Dilemma My boyfriend is always chatting to this “friend” she messages constantly rings constantly. He most times don’t answer or reply but acts suspect. They talking is too pally pally. Ughh my in laws and their birthday dinners…they would want us to split evenly no matter what we get & also cover for the birthday person. My husband and I share a birthday month and last time for our joint birthday that splitting chat was none existent…it was we will see what we can cover and how much you pay & the answer was nothing even though they ate the apps my husband asked the table if they wanted… from then on we paid for just what we ordered, tip and tax.
