Harry Redknapp has become notorious for some of his transfers and rolling-up on Deadline Day out the car window. He recalls some that worked, and plenty that never, on Premier League Tonight.

Harry is so old school. They should have him, Sir Alex and big Sam sit together and share transfer stories.

That would be legendary, wouldn't understand a thing they said though.

Harry is not the brightest really and the interviewer was clearly talking about being a wheeler-dealer in the football transfer market, but Harry seemed to take it as if he was suggesting that he paid no income, no VAT and was buying David Bowie LPs and Trevor Francis tracksuits, from a mush in Shepherds Bush.
@willhendo50906 жыл бұрын

The Benjani story shows Clubs aren't loyal to their players. So why should players be loyal to the Clubs?

Probably best for him in the long run, I'm sure his wages were increased by a fair amount, but yeah bit sad on a personal level if he genuinely enjoyed the club and living in the area, he did get to go back for one final season at least.

Harry the old school gaffer, well traveled and versed, has a class about him lost in the modern day. Love hearing him mention the names of clubs that were once the cream of the football crop before the sport got sold to, and monopolized by, the foreign billionaire boys club.
