I went to the location in Monterey, CA while on a TDY for work. The building is cantilevered over Monterey Bay. I was there for dinner, after dark, so there was no warning when the wave crashed into the windows in the corner where I was sitting!!! No damage, but what a welcome to California. It was my first night there, so I was also unaware that I was actually over the bay.

This restaurant seems like so much fun. The trivia, the theming, and amazing menu options are incredible. We've tried a Bubba Gump's years ago when we went to visit my (Brent) brother, who was stationed in California at the time. We don't remember all of the fun theming at that location. There's one of these restaurants in downtown San Antonio (at least a 10 to 15 minute drive away from where I live). Shrimp is actually my favorite seafood because it is so abundant (shrimp reproduce once every 3 to 5 months). I've never been to the restaurant, but did read the reviews, a lot of them had 5 stars. I've gotta try Bubba Gump at some point.

I love Bubba Gump’s and went to the one in Daytona beach a lot. It has been a long time. My favorite was the 3 kinds of shrimp but they served it in a holder and there were paper cones, each with a different kind of shrimp. I need to go there again. Have you been to Grandfather Mountain where they filmed Forest running up the mountain? The curve is named for him.

One of my all time favorite movies and it was filmed mostly here in my hometown of Savannah, Ga. Would love to try that restaurant. The food looked delicious! I love shrimp! Fun fact: 4 bench props were used in the making of Forest Gump. One is in the Savannah History Museum. Always enjoy traveling with you through your videos. Come to Historic Savannah sometime. Looks exactly the same as in Ft. Lauderdale down by the Boardwalk. Not my favorite but at the same level as Denny's and you know what you'll get. Come up to Western Washington and I'll show you two some of the best seafood restaurants there are in the lower 48 states. It's not cheap but still well worth the treat.
