Hi Jake, both "Bubble" and "Glory" just doesn't get the love they deserve. The MV is a tribute to the film "Bohemian Rhapsody" and many scenes from the film are recreated in the MV. The end screen "You are a Legend" is for Freddie.

Just another almost forgotten genius song. Love this period for their songs 2017-19. Great guitar work from Miku- really gives their songs a lovely fat sound. All the crazy bits in Band-Maid songs come from the depths somewhere in Kanami's brain- I thank God for them.

Bubble is my #1 fav song...just saying...oh, I already said that before, didn't I!😏 The lyrics of this song were written for the TV show "Perfect Crime" which was about deceiving and cheating friends and lovers. The next good Band-Maid song to compare the studio recording vs. live performance is "HATE?". You will thank me for this!😉

I think Saiki's mic has some built in effects that she sometimes uses, but she often performs live without the effects. They played Bubble in Chicago last year and I don't think she used the effect, but I may be misremembering. She also flubbed the spoken section a bit, which was a fun moment for me, because I was right in front of her at that show, about two people from the rail. She laughed it off and got right back into the song. Even the best band on earth occasionally has those moments.

Wikipedia says _"The song was used as the theme song for the Japanese drama show Perfect Crime.[1][2]"_ From what I can tell, it seems to be a CSI-type show. The spoken "they are missing something very important" might relate to the subtle clue that breaks the case. [edit] ... or not. Apparently k.h. has better information (as he would) and I may be mixing it up with a German television show.

Okay, so I've been adding +1 for "Hate?" to every mention of *"Hate?"* from Lollapalooza I can find. Mainly because the director could _not_ find a camera pointed at whoever was playing at the moment, and because the song is so much fun.

🇺🇸 welcome home 🏡 Glad you’re digging into Band Maid today! “Bubble” is one of my top Kanami riffs. The whole Conqueror album has this unique tone and feel, groovy, funky, kinda slicker? This song is a great example of the Maids’ complex arrangements and Akane’s ability to imply tempo changes. What I prefer with live versions is the lack of studio sound blankets; there’s so much more you can hear live. Especially Kanami’s guitar work and MISA’s fretboard assaults. I would really like to hear your analysis and breakdown of Band Maid’s most dramatic contrast: “Puzzle,” official live video and “Puzzle,” ACOUSTIC official live performance. Saiki and Kanami alone. Funny side note: there’s a fan cam live of this song when Saiki forgets her English spoken part after a few words, cusses, then recovers for the Japanese lyrics. An endearing moment of humanity from our Ice Queen 😊
