Today we’re using the Resiners Airless Lite to help us remove bubbles from our resin and create a beautiful forever rose. The bubble remover makes it easier to achieve clear castings. I've been using their original Airless for over 7 months now and it's been perfect. They just released a Lite version, which is so much more affordable and simpler in design making it perfect for beginners. We'll be using the Lite to help us preserve a beauty rose in a sphere!

Excellent explanation. I think a video of the different types of total boat resin and their uses would be useful❤😊

Thank you! I actually have that video scripted, just need to film for it. Trying to have that ready in May because I'm currently working for upcoming markets as well.

I wish they had a hose or an exchangeable port that has a hose so you could run the hose out a window to vent the fumes from the resin degassing. Somehow I am sure they could figure it out. Just a thought. Or a filter. Just less gas going into your working area.

Thank you for watching! This is like a compact vacuum chamber and I'm not sure if vacuum chambers comes with any venting. The resin is also continuously releasing fumes until it is fully cured. The full cure time could be days or weeks after the piece hardens/demolded, depending on the resin. I vent my entire room with fan and I have an air purifier with toxin absorber filters running all the time.

Great video! What do you use if you have a larger piece to work on?

Thank you! My typical mix amount for deep pouring resins are ~32oz. I usually split up the mixture into smaller cups and take turns running them through the machine. It would be 2, at most 3, turns. I do this as I am working on other pieces so it's not wasted time. For times where I do need a larger mix or don't really have much to pour that I would just be waiting around for the machine to run, I will use my vacuum chamber. This video discusses the vacuum chamber compared to this more compact machine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4DVh52Aj699rpIsi=dLQ3R4Rayfu5HCIY.

Thank you for the info! I’m just curious, this resin you said is meant for 1 inch pours, but your sphere looks a lot bigger than 1 inch. How was it still okay to pour and avoid flash curing?

Thank you for watching! The sphere is about 2" and I poured about 1.75" for the first layer. It was ok because the volume was small. TotalBoat's website listed this resin's max depth as 1" for smaller castings using less than 16oz of epoxy. I think I poured maybe around 6-7 oz at first so it wasn't too much to cause it to flash cure. The depth may have caused the first layer to cure faster though.
