You can also phase through ceilings/walls if you hop on your frisbee right underneath a ceiling. Pretty much stand in a 2-3block high closed top corner and just try to find the sweet spot to throw while half a block away from the wall. Your character will hop on the frisbee but I guess since the space between the disc and the ceiling is so narrow that the character will be read as out of bounds, if I understand that correctly. It pops you through and spits you out whichever wall you steer at after immediately jumping off again.

Got it to work. You have throw it close to the ceiling. Less that a block away of the ceiling. If you then jump on it. You phase through. Thanky you for that tipp.

it happened to me the first time i accidentally moved onto the frisbey. was quite hilariouse because you get the achievment for finding a new way of transportation. So i thought i did something intended for a second there xD

For those trying to warp to the end, I found it was much more consistent to use the lower platform with the flute tower in the warp room. I tried the upper platform for a while and almost always landed in the room above the zero death chest, but swapped to the lower one and consistently got the no death room. You need to open your inventory right as you are unpausing on the last note so it takes a few tries, but is not too bad.

The Legends Arceus Music in the background was a great choice. Excited for legends ZA and also its wild how fast people broke this game. Thought it would at least take a month or 2. I do hope the game doesn't get stale for runners too fast due to such a powerful glitch like this.

Even if a major glitch like this trivializes the whole game or makes it boring to run, it's a non-issue. In cases like that, speedrun communities just make a separate category that forbids the glitch(es) - and people naturally play the category that seems the most fun, competitive or skillful. e.g. "glitchless", "no major skips", "no wrong warp", etc. But "true any%" usually remains a competitive category as well, so everyone wins.

in this game's case, chances are that this glitch is meant for some sort of puzzle that we haven't figured out yet.

Amazing guide. Very cool. Now your 6 min speed run makes sense. I wonder if playing a different frame rates will do anything? I wonder west would happen if you post on 30 fps vs 120

Lower fps actually slows the game down and theres no way to tell if you just speed the video up. You can do a run at 10 fps, at 1/6th speed, then speed up video and cheat run looks legit.

@@815TypeSirius obviously lol. kind of a slight issue, but there are ways to do runs at slower speeds on most games anyway (cheat engine etc). in the end, top 10 times should always be livestreamed or considered invalid

Funky. Been trying this for a while and keep teleporting to the room *above* the end-game warp-I've made it to the correct room a couple of times but can't get the timing down for opening the inventory to avoid drowning.

You have to open your inventory basically right as you unpause the game so that you dont drown, we are pretty sure you need to do this becuase you are warping through water

My character also stuns every time. Doesn’t matter if I pause myself in the air. I don’t have the flute when I teleport and pause on the next screen. I have no control of my character and I fall straight down and teleport back.

I think I mightve had too many deaths to perform the warp to the end of the game, warping from the same spot you do in the video I end up in the room above the skull room, if I do the warp from any level below that teleports me into the skull room I immidiately die as if I fell into water, even with a pause

I can't get the end warp to work right. I successfully warp and get the inventory menu open while I'm up in the air, but when I close the inventory, I just fall to the ground and return to the animal warp room.

After many, many attempts, I have not been able to get to the end of the game (first phase) 5:39 using the flute code you described in the comments (found in your reply to HiJohnAndWesleyAndVicky) What's the flute code to fight the Manticore, first end game boss fight 5:20 ? If you could do a instructional video on the Wheel warp to the end game, that would be a bonus. The code to spawn to manticore without the lantern is the one you use to go to the first clock (DR, UL x4)

I triggered this by accident (and reproduced it a couple times before i stopped getting it to work) in the shaft where fish are blowing the columns of bubbles, but i wasn't on a ledge or anything. weird

yeah that’s how it was originally discovered, because bubbles spawned by the player and “natural” bubbles have slightly different behaviors, but once we figured out how to do it with a regular bubble there was no reason to use natural ones

right at the end of your video there, On my game there was a bunch of blocks blocking that chest. How do I get rid of those? I 100% the game and got the platinum trophy on ps5 but I just forgot about that little unsolved nugget.

Each of the blocks is a skull representing one death. To access that chest you must reach that room without dying even once.

yeah its in game. across the world, there are a bunch of pillars with a symbol and a number. if you connect all of them on your map, and then draw lines between them, it spells out for you a flute code which takes you to the jungle

It does add, it's just a race condition where the stored value is overwritten by the calculated value. Think of it like this, the flute already knows the position it wants to send you, so that can be done in one instruction. However the instruction to set a relative position requires it be sent to the ALU which means it comes back a few cycles later. So if both run at the same time, it will ask the ALU what the value + or - 1 is, and then set the value to the flute's value, then the ALU comes back and overwrites that value with its response. The code assumes that the value is properly set, so executes it.

This warp is incredible. I'm really thinking it's less of a glitch, and more of an intended mechanic. Currently tracking a theory. Coordinates gets often shortened to "coords". In musical terms, chords are combinations of multiple music notes at the same time. I've been drawing vertical and horizontal lines through each warp point on the map that I've found, and it's almost vaguely starting to look like guitar tabs to me. Maybe Billy hid something based on the locations of the correct warps.
