Great idea to place at bottom of your fencing. I presently have my garden area built with 6 foot high deer fencing and also plan to surround that with fine bird netting on all the fence walls and top of garden to stop birds and squirrels. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to your next video.

A great idea with the fence. I keep waiting for you to expand your garden and/or add a bed or two in your current garden area. You should grow onions and carrots if you like them. Hang some gutters on the inside of the garden and grow strawberries or more bush beans. I grow ground cherries after seeing yours. They are delicious and we get around 50 of them a day. Our growing season is about over for now. Then we start over in August and have warm weather crops, cool weather crops, then warm weather crops again. It's great to grow your groceries. Great video. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks.

Awesome job and yes very tedious to wire it all the way around. We have a huge garden and we went a little deeper 12 inches and also bent the wire and had a foot (12 inches) away drom the fence so if something did dig they would hit the wire 12 inches down. It was a alot of work...took us the whole weekend lol but followed your design and it works. Thank You for the video...cheers from Canada 😊

Chucks can climb and dig under gates. Best to leave a small opening or two in the fence and set a double door 9x11x24 Comstock cage traps which will catch animals coming and going, no escape. Very simple and easy to catch whatever tries to get into your garden area and end the worries of excluding them, which animals usually find a way to beat over time..

Groundhogs are crazy, and can both climb over, and dig under. Hopefully not, would have liked an update! I’m in a city, and for the 2nd year in a row, I have groundhogs tunnelling at the base of my house. Last year they even caused part of my driveway to collapse. In the last 6 weeks I haven’t had 2 days straight where I haven’t needed to do damage control. Have grated Irish Spring soap, crushed moth balls, mixed them with a bit of earth and poured it in the hole, then filled it back in. Next day, they’ve dug right through, they aren’t bothered at all. Have repeated many times, thinking it would eventually be toxic enough that it would deter them, but nope 😢 So many suggestions online, but really not much works other than chicken wire. But brick house, don’t want to screw the wire to the parging. Tried duct tape (lol), but it’s pretty much useless. They’re absolutely fixated on my house, and I’m gonna lose it if I can’t find a solution. It may be that having them relocated is the only answer for me, but it’s a potentially pricey option.
@bonphone4222
@bonphone4222 8 ай бұрын
I have the same exact issue with them near my foundation. Other ones will occupy or reopen their tunnels. You have to consistently kill them. You can throw bubble gum down their tunnels, they will chew it and die from the chemicals in it. That's really the only way to be proactive against them. I've trapped 1 of 3. Most of them are pretty hard to trap. The other 2 I got with headshots.
