Please, I do have two questions: 1. Does this require that hardware have TPM 2.0 enabled? 2. Does this still include Windows Defender? Thank you very much in advance.
@casperong66379 ай бұрын
Not very sure about the Defender, however, I do think that you need to have TPM 2.0 enabled as it is installed based on a existing Windows installation.

@@casperong6637 Thank you very much, Casper. I have Windows 10 already installed, and I'm thinking about upgrading to AtlasOS.
@BotolPetjah9 ай бұрын
1. it doesn't, but since it need you to install the vanilla version of windows 11, you need rufus to bypass the tpm 2.0 requirement for installing the vanilla version of windows 11 before applying the atlas playbook. later, if you install app or game like valorant, better to go back to windows 10 since tpm requirement that valorant need is a must. 2. the playbook come with an option that you can choose, enable or disable the defender.

@@elyzsabethahne2116 You probably would be much better off upgrading to Windows 10 LTSC.
@xanderplayz34469 ай бұрын
No, you don’t need TPM 2.0. Even Windows 11 doesn’t require it with a registry change to bypass the requirements, and this allows you to choose if you want defender.

2:43 im pretty sure atlasOS 0.3.1 doesnt require activation but 0.3.2 does They have now removed activation from 0.4.0 as well
I use atlas, it’s basically a simple debloat. People get triggered about defender which is now not recommended to be disabled, but if you’re not a moron you can run windows without defender or UAC
@nicolascox31253 ай бұрын
You don’t need windows defender but you do need UAC since UAC prevents any application from elevating permission to administrator without anything to stop it

You said Tiny 11 is not useable, I beg to disagree, having run Tiny10 and 11 for 1 year now as a daily driver, not even single crash/freeze for 3rd gen i3 laptop (Tiny10) and Intel n95 (Tiny11). Btw, having also tested Xlite for awhile and it worked fine, see no difference in performance. Stick to Tiny10/11 as the interface is the same as the original. Before installing Tiny10/11, loading takes forever to load, shut down also takes ages (personal feeling), once installed Tiny10/11, both issues disappear, fast and painless.

This guy forget to mention you can't restore your system, you can fix it through scan, and you'll end up in a loop of bad things after a while. So yeah, don't get fooled, and research, I was fooled, and payed the price.
