Auntie bubur cha cha is not authentic but very special. Because bubur cha cha is a peranakan dessert the ''ruby'' doesn't need to use sweet potatoes or yam. Tapioca starch mixed with hot water with edible colorings will enhance the dessert. Probably, it is her own creation lots of work in preparing the kueh. I hope to find this type of dessert in Malaysia. Anyway, it looks yummy. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Yes, her tapioca gummies is diffrrent from normal. Probably her own creation. Most Tong Sui or Dessert Shops sell Bubir Cha Cha but without the gummies.
