As a person who doesn’t have a lot of buccal fat and sharp facial anatomy I always wished I had more round cheeks and I just cannot understand this in any way shape or form

I have a lot of buccal fat and it just weighs down my face because it's concentrated down in the lower 3rd. I doubt I'll ever get it removed but I can understand why some people would want to. It makes me look heavier than I am from certain angles and it's just kind of unflattering. In today's world when sculpted cheeks are "in," it's easy to internalize and feel inadequate compared to people with slimmer faces and jawlines. I think the reason the celebrities in this video look so bad is because they didn't really have much buccal fat to begin with. I've seen some people have it removed and still look totally fine after, without the sunken cheeks. It just depends on the person and their facial structure I think.

I’ve been obsessed with buccal fat removal. I have a naturally chubby face with quite some cheek fat even at a low body weight. I always thought I would do it in an instant if I had the spare change. Funny enough, my boyfriend loves my chubby cheeks. It’s his favorite thing about me. I’m starting to accept them and I appreciate them more now 😊

I wanted to do this so badly for ~ 5 years because I have a wider face. Hindsight 20/20; getting my buccal fat removed wouldn't have make my face less wide because that structure is bone 💀 I would have looked exactly like Leah Michelle and she just looks gaunt to me now. It's not a surgery that ages well, IMO. I'm naturally losing some of that fullness as I age + people think I'm a decade younger than I am. Buccal fat is a blessing in your 30s.

i’m keeping my fat in my face thank you very much!! i’m in my 30s but ppl still think i’m in high school lol removing the fat in your face… seems like a big BIG mistake to me… these women are gonna age so much faster than they should.. cause like the amount of fat in our faces goes down GRADUALLY on its own as we age.. our faces tend to sag/droop with old age anyways.. imagine with this procedure… like if you have it removed in your 20s/30s.. i don’t even want to think about it.. thing is this trend will eventually go out of style and what awful is that it’s an irreversible procedure.. like the fat does not come back… also.. you can get botched too, cause if too much fat is removed you’re screwed.. to each their own, but i would NEVER..

And ethical plastic surgeons are calling out against this type of surgery. It looks good when you're young and have it done but as we age we all get more gaunt in the face because we naturally lose some fat there. And then to top it off you lose your collagen structures so that your skin will start to droop. So they will look much much worse when they hit their 60s then someone who does not do this.

All I'm saying is, if you're attempting to look like a female (whether you're biologically female or not idc), and have feminine features, then this is a horrible thing to do to your face. I had a round face until my late 20s. Now I have a pronounced V shaped jaw and high cheekbones. If I got my buccal fat removed I'd look masculine. I'd lose the heart shape and become chiseled. I don't recall ever hearing anyone talking about how pretty a woman's chiseled jaw is. It's too harsh and masculine. If that's what you want then cool but if not this is a very bad idea.
