You would have thought! The issue for the nose is the ballast, if you put it in the radome then you've got to be sure it won't flop down so the hing has to be good. Or put a lot more ballast further back. But it would seem a natural after market product.

@daveonbass792 жыл бұрын
For panel lining over decals I HIGHLY recommend using a new blade and cutting/scoring the decal over all the lines. Then use the MicroSol over top to get the tiny flaps to lay into the panel lines. Then when you add the panel line fluid on top (into) the panel it flows in there seamlessly. If there is any noticeable "decal gap" from the cut...then it gets filled over by the wash anyways. Just a little tip I thought I'd share. 👍 Over all...I loved watching this build so much that I think I'll pick this kit up when it comes to texas.
@randytaylor12582 жыл бұрын
This is a terrific idea. You'd have to ensure that the cut edges are sealed with MicroSol or MarkFit to ensure against capillary action flowing up the deal. Thanks!
@daveonbass792 жыл бұрын
@@randytaylor1258 actually...I left out a step. Sorry. After the MicroSol is dry and the lines are clearly defined i then go over then with a gloss clear. That seals the decal under a layer of protection. Then if you mess up the panel line and/or weathering...you don't have to worry that the clean up will damage the decal. Then after weathering I cover everything one last time with a matte or flat clear. (Minus the clear parts). Hope some of this helps you out. Give it a test run on a slammer kit first if you'd like in order to get confident with the new steps. 👍
@garys_stuff2 жыл бұрын
Sounds a really good tip. I was thinking of something plastic with an edge and maybe a rounded tip so you can follow curves. I was also going to try an ultra fine marker - say a 0.03mm tip. I can feel a tutorial video coming on!!!

@lindsayross33632 жыл бұрын
Helps if you read the instructions lol
@garys_stuff2 жыл бұрын
I looked at this in either the box opening or on day one. The forward seat supports an instrument panel for the navigator. I think for some reason a later version has either a different panel or a slightly different set-up, and uses a different size hole on the back of the pilot's seat which is why there are two versions. They often do this - having parts for later versions on the sprue as it saves on building new tooling later. It's also how you know what kits they will do in the future (like the FGA.9 Hunter because the F.4/6 kit includes a tail cone with a drag chute fairing, not fitted until the F.6A and FGA.9, so they must be releasing one of those in the future...).
