I've got my grand father's buck 110. I used to use it deer hunting till I field dressed a deer and left it laying . Discovered it missing and went back to find it. Took an hour to find it in the leaves. Havnt used it sense then. Brings back fond memories of him every time I see it. He was the best deer hunter I've ever been around. Lots of fun times hunting and fishing with him.

Having both the 119 and 110 I hang onto those because they are timeless. Precious memories of our fathers teaching us the outdoors are what we hold close to our hearts and continue to explore as they did. Merry Christmas to you and your family Jon, keep on trekking and getting out there in the sticks!

What a great video. I loved it. I also have those memories of hunts with my dad. He passed on his love of outdoors to me. There are items I hang on to that remind me of him. I loved the older things now. I miss those stories the older men use to tell around deer camp. Have a Merry Christmas. God bless.

Fantastic video. I really enjoyed the entire thing. I have to older 103's incoming and look forward to using them. Can't imagine using a 119 for skinning, but heck, I'm just an amateur with too many choices of knife. Guys like your dad had one knife and it did everything. I admire that.

Not a lot of options in the North Maine woods back in the day. Most knives were a one tool option out of necessity. Thanks for watching.

My whole life my father carried, and still carries a 119 he bought in the 70's. I started big game hunting in the mid 80's and it was our go to blade. I chipped the edge out in the early 90's on an elk joint and he calls those his custom serrations lol

A most excellent video. Thanks for making it. I recently heard, "Knives let us carry memories in our pocket," (or on our belts). It's a perspective that rings true be that a time, place or person that knife has a memory connected to. Good stuff.

I found a 119 special at a thrift store. In great shape for 10.00 I traced the markings back to made in 1969. Love it.

Fabulous Video Brother 👍 My Dad also passed away at age 49’ . I graduated HS in Early 70s. Totally relate to everything you shared in this great honoring and memory of your Dad and the iconic Buck 119. I still have the 119 I bought back in early 80’s. Just a few days ago. I found my Buck 110’ that I bought in 1973’. I had misplaced it for years. I had the sheath but was missing the Knife. Really dig the old photos and Music 👍God Bless from Idaho 🇺🇸. Best! Dwayne
