Obviously the 120 because its been tried and tested by Ghostface for almost 26 years now 🔪😱

Dude they used a fake 120 in scream they never tested anything they only used cgi to make it look like it’s going into the flesh the fake knife is made of aluminum which gives it that blade look

Theres another channel his name is Joe X he does a bunch of knife destruction videos. He did a good one on the 120, thr tip can go through a car door as many times as you want and stay virtually unharmed

I reckon the 120 is more of a fighter & even a meat-deboning blade. The 124 would be a heavy-duty camp & fire-keepers / chopping tool. Good video, Ty.

Since I won't be stabbing my steel chairs, do you think you could do a more real-world test between these two knives? We will be butchering game and fish with these styles. I would love to see you debone a Boston butt roast with each of these. How does penetration and bone deflection effect the ease of use? THAT is what I want to see.

I have these knives but my 124 has the wood handle. It's just beautiful to look at and I have had it now for 30 years. It's truly an iconic knife. Buck has made a lasting mark in the knife world. I have several Buck 110 folders. I wish they still made the leather carry case, made in The USA. I also have a brand new, never used Phrobis III M9 knife/bayonet made by Buck. Their contract was cancelled about 25 years ago and another company, Lankay I think took over supplying that knife to the Military. Those chairs are something solid but the Bucks held their ground. Great knives. Thanks for the demonstration.

This review is largely specious. The merits of a knife are not based upon its cutting and stabbing ability - other than resistance to breakage. It is, in part, based upon the ability to HOLD an edge. Also, if the 124 was slightly less sharp than the 120, perhaps try sharpening the 124!

Its called an Over Molded, Necked down full tang. Buck uses that style of tang on the older style sheath knives. And its still very strong. Even the tang on the 124 is necked down just enough to keep the guard in place.

Since when did it become cool to chop with knives. Knives are not meant for chopping HATCHETS are for chopping.
@ericdpeerik3928 Жыл бұрын
Buck knives are not designed for it, but I don't even do this with modern knives. I do watch KZbinrs wreck knives before I buy them, because that's an indication of how strong they are 😂

I wish Buck made something a little in-between the 119, 124, and 120. I love the 124 but it's a beast to carry. For my EDC it's a 110 in a leather pouch.
@vwr32jeep2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what you mean by in-between those knives. They’re 6-7 inch blade lengths. A smaller one maybe? There’s the 105 with a 5 inch blade. And the 117 looks just like the 119 only it has a 4.5 inch blade. Knife Center has that for $75. Personally, I kinda like your 110 choice lol, though I’m more of a 112 person myself. 🍻

I watched a video of a dude trying to destroy a 120 by doing all kinds of things like hammering on a brick with the edge, stabbing car doors, hammering it into a log and twisting it to try to break the tip off, and other than dulling the edge, you're gonna have to basically blow the thing up with C4 in order to break it.

Joe X 👍. Yeah, the Buck 120 with 420HC steel was amazing. Car stabbing , tip prying test. It held out way way better than I imagined. Excellent performance 👌.

The 124 is a far superior knife. The 119 is pretty much garbage. The handle on the 124 however, is like a stick of butter but you can reprofile it because it is micarta. I used a dremmel tool and some sanding sponges to make it more comfortable. The 119/120 handle is basically plastic and the tang is skinny.
@Yeti211734 ай бұрын
I thought that too but after seeing many tests on KZbin these rat tail tangs are more than sufficient for use. Kabars, bayonets and Air Force survival knives are all rat tail tangs that are much thinner and weaker than bucks and they went through world wars Korea Vietnam and into the future. They’re stronger than you think especially when you use the knife for what it’s meant for: a cutting tool.
