Can there be too much of a good thing? Who knows, but I want more!

The 124 is my least favorite of these 3 knifes . I did pull it apart and make the grip more comfortable . Also replaced the handle . The 124 is still bulky and heavier than the full tanged 119 and 120. My favorite of these 3 is the buck 120 . I have been using it since I was 9 . I am 54 now . No issues of the full tang in the buck 119 or 120 holding up . I have took a few apart and replaced the handles . They are made good . You have to break the handles apart to replace . 30v is my favorite steel from buck . It holds it edge longer , but just as easy to sharpen for me . I strop my knives to a razor edge .

I agree, I also own all 3, the 120 just feels better

I found pics of them chopped in half. They're full tangs BUT stick tangs though....might as well get a kabar at that point since they have the same issue 😂 which is the reason I'm leaning towards 124.

@@masterk5066 , I have broke kabar knives . Never broke a buck knife , so trust them more .

I love my 124. Its the only one of the Buck knives with a full tang that I know of, as opposed to the stick tangs on the 119 and Kabar knives

Gotta love a full tang!!! Thanks for watching!

Most buck classics have full tang including buck 119. i dont know if buck is still making the kalinga . that has a full exposed tang . I didnt think i would like the kalinga , but it is a great skinning / butchering knife .

@@LovingIdaho the Buck 119 has a "stick tang" which is kinda like a full tang but the blade stock doesn't extend throughout the entire handle in both directions. I can see why someone would find that arbitrary but it is generally agreed upon in the knife community
@LovingIdaho Жыл бұрын
@@mcsquirgle , I have cut the handles off quite a few , mine and it went to throughout the whole handle and pinned in the pommel .

I love all of my buck knives but with my 119 and 120 the grip was really slippery when you got it wet or if your hands got wet so if I was gutting something I had to wrap the handle if I didn't want my knife to take a bloodbath

If I were to use these I’d rap rubber, self vulcanizing tape around the handles.
