The question isn’t should the Bucs fire Bowles - the question is if the Bucs can only retain Bowles or Coen, which one should they retain? The question is rhetorical - Bowles has produced mixed results and is late career. Coen has produced outstanding results and is early career. No matter how far the Bucs go this season, they must retain Coen, even if that means releasing Bowles, because Coen’s results and potential are superior.

As I sit here at half of the Atlanta game and they are beating Washington by 10 pts. How disappointing. We can put up almost 50 this week but lost to Dallas last week when we couldn’t afford a loss. 🤬🤬🤬

My genuine question, love Coen. But is he as effective next season when a full season of nfl film has been studied in the off-season. I'd prefer a Bowles spends the off-season and season training his replacement DC and helping Coen transition into becoming our new HC after the 2025 season.

It was an important win, but let's keep in mind the Panthers were missing starting CB Jaycee Horn, starting LB Josey Jewell and starting OT Taylor Moton. The Panthers already bad defense was missing key players. Much of the Panthers defense was 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Coen will stay and get PAID. He has job security, and a young roster of talent on the offensive side. Losing teams are the ones looking for head coaches, likely a franchise quarterback, and talent on both sides of the ball. He may not be ready to move up to a HC gig. I bet he still has plenty of ideas to work out.

More often than not, when a coach is offered a head coaching job, they’re going to take it. The Ben Johnson situation is very rare. Becoming an NFL head coach is a life changing opportunity. And you never know, Liam may be tired of dealing with Bowles’ bad defense and questionable decision making just like most fans are.

Scott, why is Tampa Bay still considered a "small market" by the NFL ? I can see that observation back in 1976, but I moved here in 1982 and have seen the state and the 813 and the 727 blow up. Florida has more Electoral Votes than New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Missouri, Kansas, etc....... Florida is third behind only California & Texas. I barely recognize Tampa anymore, since 1982. So, I do not understand why the NFL considers Tampa Bay or Jax "small market" and Tampa Bay players do not get the attention, or respect nationally. What do you think?
