I think we all agree that the year 2000 itself was not the start of the new millennium, but the last year of the old one. (They didn't start the calendar with year number zero. Did they?) As such, all the music released in 2000, can still claim, rightfully so, to be part of the " Olde World" and yes, a part of the 90s by proxy. As anything released in 1980 cannot claim to be 70s. Well now, I'm a hard rocker from WAAAYY back....like the early 1960's. Yup....I'm 68 here in 2023. A young 68, mind you. Although I loathe cocaine....since I had a RAGING HABIT from 1979 thru 1981....I still gotta say that this tune is one of THE MOST BADASS rock tunes I've ever heard. Not a big fan of their subsequent stuff.....but this one.....def. a top 10 "desert island" tune for this guy. i remember the first time i ever heard this song. i was in the national guard in oklahoma and in may of 99 the f5 tornado blew thru oklahoma city and we got activated to help guard the area of destruction from looters. i was sitting in a hummwv at 03:30 in the morning in a lightening storm on guard duty, listening to 100.5 KATT "The Rock of Oklahoma City" and this song came on and he would say "and i"m all lit up again" and the lightening would light up the sky! it was epic!
