No offense but alcohol is a drug. Every rehab I've ever been to probably half the people were there for alcohol and just as bad off as the dope fiends like me. Actually my buddy I met in rehab last July got out a few days before me and died like the day after I got out because he got drunk and wrecked his car. Addiction in any form is no joke. RIP to your brother though. I dont judge. Were all human.

@chuckeecheeze4649
@chuckeecheeze4649 2 жыл бұрын
It made the 90s by more than you think. Being the 90s had the benefit of being the last decade of the millennium. I think we all agree that the year 2000 itself was not the start of the new millennium, but the last year of the old one. (They didn't start the calendar with year number zero. Did they?) As such, all the music released in 2000, can still claim, rightfully so, to be part of the " Olde World" and yes, a part of the 90s by proxy. As anything released in 1980 cannot claim to be 70s. So that is the power of the 90s. The only rock and roll decade to be 11 years long. And go ahead and check that gematria. It will give you another, very connected, hint if you doubt me.

Anon Zero That makes sense, too. I've been a rap fan since about 1986, and the genre has been around now for about 40 years. But so much current rap and hip hop really does suck ass. It's all so engineered and redundant. Same with modern country.

+Hugh Janus (El Infidel) KFFK I used to listen to rap too around that same time, back when it was actually good. But like you said it's become super-redundant...how many times can you listen to lyrics bragging about; a) "Bitches" b)Weed c)jewelry d)cars e)guns and violence It seems like popular culture has taken a turn for the worse, when the things listed above are what qualifies as an enjoyable listening experience for the majority of people. i remember the first time i ever heard this song. i was in the national guard in oklahoma and in may of 99 the f5 tornado blew thru oklahoma city and we got activated to help guard the area of destruction from looters. i was sitting in a hummwv at 03:30 in the morning in a lightening storm on guard duty, listening to 100.5 KATT "The Rock of Oklahoma City" and this song came on and he would say "and i"m all lit up again" and the lightening would light up the sky! it was epic!

The future of rock & roll looked really promising in the late 90's and into the 2000's but something happened. I don't know what happened but something did. Just imagine if bands like this had continued to enjoy mainstream success into the 2010's. We would have an absolutely KILLER rock scene selling out arenas in 2015 but instead we have Taylor Swift......
