I don't want to watch this one yet because the last one seriously just bummed me out. It's obvious Trevor and Sam were taking things personally and only barely getting over it, and it put a huge damper on the fun

@@tylerbruno07 nah I think Trevor is the least butthurtable out of the group, maybe besides Darren. He just seems like he's walking on eggshells comedically cause he's worried about someone else getting butthurt, and when they do, he either tries to lean in to it to make it obvious it's a joke, or backpedal, somewhat apologetically, which tends to ilicit a reaction from people that intensifies the exchange("I'm not getting mad"). It happened with Trevor and timmy on the halloween sss I think. And I notice Sam plays up this contrarian character of sorts that we've seen since they started the new channel. Like he really goes balls deep into his bits, to the point where the guys can't tell if he's joking or not(1st newsboyz when sam calls in about the mouthwash). A bit ranty, I know. I just see this kinda stuff in my own friend group and it bugs me that sometimes we can't all have a hang without everyone taking shit too seriously

@Juice Box Yep, but it was just a bit too real. I watch a lot of irony-laden comedy. Tim and Eric, MDE, etc. If they wanted to make it work as irony, they needed to go a bit further over the top. It was just uncomfortable. Maybe it's just "a bit not working" sometimes. I didn't enjoy the last one. Not sure if I should continue to watch these.

@@dandroid6201 This is true, but Trevor also has a way of just being a bit of a prick, and then falling back on saying, "I'm just joking!!" He's also the leader of the group and sets the tone. The issue with roleplaying characters long-term is that inevitably people get personal. Eventually they will not be playing these characters, but it's a lot longer than doing a sketch. They're calling one another by their real names and not character names half the time. It's a good point that these are some of the comedic roles they've fallen into as a troupe. But if it's not clearly comedic enough it just doesn't play well as a joke. Trevor looked like a big ol' bag of douche on the last one because he seemed to be taking things personally, so I'd say he's more at fault than anyone else being "butthurt" because they can't take a joke, etc.

This was such a great episode, holy shit. The dragon battle was actually intense, and I really liked seeing the group struggle with a combat encounter. Really great character decisions as well from the whole group. I feel like they're all really getting into their characters, which is half the fun of D&D. Seriously, it was a treat from start to finish.
