Japanese here. The middle sticker is the registration, although it has been moved to the corner above the driver now. That one is required, you can see on the inside when the bi-annual inspection is due. The circle is the yearly inspection sticker. You don't need to stick this one on, but most shops do unless you tell them not to.

Autech actually made a 4 door R33 GT-R with RB26 and all, they're really rare though, but if you like 4 door R33 you should check it out!

The circle sticker is for Japanese road tax. It’s a tax Japanese people pay to up keep the roads. The square sticker is inspection, inspections are good for two years and that sticker tells you when the next inspection is due to the day. On the back it says year month day next inspection is due.❤

To take a flight with a group of friends to pickup a car and road trip it back home; man that's living the dream! That R34 is already sweet as it is. Perhaps keep everything as is and drive it around and enjoy it, unless you are really, really want to replace the motor with something else. light-up shizuoka plate is tight, option 2 sticker on the evo ii is tight ... absolute man of culture also your nav panel says: ガイド (guide) 地点登録 (register place (a spot on the map)) ルート (route) メニュー (menu) バードビュー ("bird view" - guessing bird's eye view?) 地図 / CD (map / cd) 戻る (go back) the button to the right of "TV" says 画面 (screen) and the buttons by the playstation stick were too blurry in the video for me to read lol

Congrats on the 4 door skyline! Looking forward how it would turn out! And i agree that rb20 is the best sound rb of them all! About the circle thingy in the windshield its the annual inspection sticker which is called “tenken seibi” where the date of inspection is shown in front then the expiration on the back of the sticker, it is a car owners’ legal obligation to do then mechanic shops gives out/place on the customers windshield after performing a 60 steps inspection but not required to display on windshield so not all cars in japan have it (but bnew cars does, you can tear it off though) But small box sticker on the other hand is the “shaken” sticker, which is a bi-annual inspection and registration, it shows the date of registration in front then the expiration on the back, this one serves as your registration so you are strictly required to display it on your windshield and tear off the old expired one to replace with a new shaken sticker, its basically same as license plate stickers but instead you need to replace it with a new one since its on the windshield instead of stacking them all like how we do on plates stickers… just a little info about those stickers. I’m always enjoying your content!

That sticker at 11:50ish is not a registration sticker. It's like a maintenance reminder sticker or service sticker. The one in the center, on inside by the mirror is the inspection date sticker.

Belts usually don't squeak unless there are stuck bearings. The noise is most likely worn bearings for the rollers. Or maybe the dynamo, as it was coated in belt material.

Dude get a JZ from the wreckers, theres so many in your guys wreckers down there and cheap!! just look for an IS300, gs300 or SC300 and pull it all, ya it'll be a vvti but they still hold 600hp all day on stock internals. That GC8 is soo sick, but the EVO's stole the show hands down, just beautiful cars. Congrats on the new ride Mike.

If you want to take an engine apart, you can still get a ge vvt-i for pretty cheap, good gte rods and a turbo kit. The vvt-i rods are good for about 400 whp before they bend and/or break.

The square sticker in the middle of the windscreen is shaken - japanese inspection, which is done every 2 years. It shows the month and the year your next inspection is due. The circular sticker at the corner of the windscreen tells you when your next service/inspection is due. They don't always show the same month/year
