Bucket List Worthy - Overlanding Arizona’s Kofa Wilderness (S2:E1)

Join us as we head into the Arizona outback, into the stunning Kofa Wilderness in southwestern Arizona between Quartzite and Yuma. Be prepared for epic campsites, blazing sunsets, and craggy mountains. The Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is a protected area in the Sonoran desert that, believe it or not, is loaded with wildlife, including bighorn sheep, gila monsters, and many small animals. It's also the home of the mighty saguaro cactus. This area is full of pioneer and mining history and you'll find plenty to see including the old cabins, mining ruins and museum, and a desert landscape that is worthy of an overlander's bucket list. The trail we took through the region was created by Overland Trail Guides and you'll definitely want to carry extra fuel with you on this trip. Stock 4WD vehicles are fine but be prepared for narrow trails with lots of brush in certain areas. Beware of pinstriping!

Great video! As Yumans and fellow 4runnerians we have been out to the spiral labyrinth, it is a great place! Never knew about skull rock, its now on our "go to" list, thanks! At 12:18 on the video there is a faded painted turtle rock, that was our offering for the labyrinth...thanks for taking us along on this adventure! 😊

Great video. Funny how being subscribed to over 200 channels of off roading, motorcycle travel, camping and hiking videos it's always a bummer when there is no "cooking at camp" scenes. It’s an actual campsite and nobody else came by. We got there at 7 pm and were gone the next morning by 9.
