The button on the guitar is called "killswitch" its made to interrupt the electricity "cutting" the signal and therefor mute it , i have like 15 years playing guitar and never knew about the kill switch until i met buckethead :P . Really love his style. Great songs you've pick. Keep it up with the good work. Cheers

At one point KFC sued Buckethead and told him to stop wearing their buckets during his shows! Can you believe that? That was so stupid. Buckethead was the best advertising they could hope for and it was free for them. So he adapted and wore a bucket that was plain white with FUNERAL written on it, which was for all the chickens that KFC kills, as pigebear said in an earlier comment. At this show he had a FUNERAL sticker on a KFC bucket. You see, the mythology of Buckethead is that he grew up in a chicken coop and the chickens were his friends. Thus his interest in KFC buckets. Buckethead is a deep subject and the rabbit hole goes quite deep Alice. John you should check out The Ballad of Buckethead by Primus, who Buckethead jammed with often in the 90s. The ballad of Buckethead explains much about Buckethead. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKm3fpR7nb56jKc. And here is Primus and Buckethead live at Ozzfest 1999: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJa9f6V5edWjfbc.

Shame about the screw up with Earth Heals Herself. Stuff happens, would still be cool though to take a listen, there are so many sides and styles to Buckethead. This is best portrayed by listening to something like Earth Heals herself and The Corpse Plower right after eachother ;)

His guitar was made just for Buckethead in 2010 only. The two red buttons are cut out button's which actually shut off the guitar when pushed. You can buy used guitars of this style and they run between $3,000.00 to about $5,000.00. The guitar is very large, but Buckethead is around 6' 6" to 6' 7".

@@cbasa97 Sorry.....I meant to say kill switches. I contacted "Brain" and he promised to let me know Bucketheads 2019 tour dates. I have Lymphoma and Lung Cancer, plus nine Stent's in my heart. So,I'm a short timer. I had six month's of Chemo from January to June, after which they did a PET Scan. They came in and told me the good news was the Lymphoma was gone, but I Lung Cancer. So, last October on Friday the 13th I had my upper lobe of my lung removed, at which time the Surgeon told me the Cancer had migrated to my chest wall. So, they had to remove about a square foot of that. Then to top it off last April my Cardiologist told me I had to be Catheterized. So he put six more Stents in my heart on top of the three he put in back on March 1st 2010. Anyway, the only thing on my "bucket list", no pun intended. is to see Buckethead live. You take care and remember "Tomorrow is the most impotent thing in life" Peace!

@@Waldo14 Thank you, I'm doing what I can, when I can. One day at a time. I'm in New York City right now with my best friend. Last night we went to Bucketheads show at Sony Hall in mid town Manhattan.....it was awesome!! When he first comes out on stage he has this smoke colored visor on over his mask. Then, I think it was right after the end of his second song, he walks out to the edge of the stage and takes it off. Every body went wild!! Thank yo again.

He wears a mask probably because it allows the freedom of anonymity. His minimal wardrobe and stage and movements in performance all say, this experience is about the music, listen to the music. But if you need something to look at here is a chicken bucket on my head.

I hate to say this about a bucket head song, but the studio version is better. He plays it in a different key here and I’m not as much of a fan of this version

Buckethead is no doubt known for his amazing Killswitch picking an chicken finger plucking if I'm saying that right.. Jason Richardson and Buckethead are the best guitarists of all time. I still prefer certain studio versions than live.. Mid 50s or 60s an still fantastically amazing......
