The lyrics are about drawing parallels between the 1920’s and the 2020’s current political circus that is Trump/MAGA, and their blatant racist misogyny. Hence “Taking no shit from the Chulas… grabbing them all by the hoohas” Chulas: is Hispanic slang for beautiful or attractive women.

Hey John! Great react to our majestic Maestro Andre Matos, RIP. You probably know this by know, since this was posted 5 years ago, but for those watching this in 2024 as I am and who don't know it yet: Andre Matos was also an invited singer in Tobias Sammet's Avantasia. He joined Tobias Sammet in great tracks such as 'Sign of the Cross' and 'The Tower'. If you are curious about Andre's other projects check out Angra's 'Carry On'.

Beyond all of the obvious.. I almost wish I haven't been a fan of Dead Sara for a decade.. just so that I could once again enjoy hearing her voice for the first time. She has her own sound, and it meshes seamlessly with the LP vibe. Excellent choice. The lyrics of this first track are phenomenal. (Even more so if you apply the context that each individual was using as inspiration).. Nobody can ever fill the shoes of such a legend. This is the greatest possible way to honor Chesters legacy while also continuing with their own passion for creativity. November 15th can't come soon enough. Can't wait to hear more from them. And, all the controversy? Old news. Not a factor. Not even worth entertaining.
