I got a challenge for everyone, You must all turn atleast 5 people you know (or even strangers) into Buckethead fans. Its easy, anybody who hears his true music (Electric Tears, Colma, Shadows Between The Sky, A Real Diamond in the Rough, Population Override, etc.) will become an instant fan. Buckethead is the most underrated musician of today, lets all help change that.

On any rock/metal concert, the crowd makes noise and headbangs. When buckethead's on stage, everyone just stares in awe and listens. It truly is unique.

That's what you call respect. 🙏
@JC-111113 жыл бұрын
It's reminiscent of what you see at classical concerts and things like that. Where they sit quietly actually listening and then applaud in between songs. I never realized that until I saw this comment from 11+ years ago 👍

I usually am not a fan of effects pedals. But here he has such good balance with the volume knob, wah wah, tone, and I guess phaser or whatever else to make a super expressive tone that leaves you hanging on every note.
@tapeworm60934 жыл бұрын
It’s ok, he uses effects on only half of his albums, so you got 180 without effects
@tapeworm60934 жыл бұрын
He has mastered all sounds and genres, might as well master all the effects too. He is the TRUE savant

This person playing is my new Hendrix. Nothing can touch this emotion and creativity. His personna is fitting to his audience, who understands his mask as a shield to fend of the unworthy ears.

I think the reason that he is so great, is that he isn't trying to be a shredder, or a rock guitarist, he plays everything. He has no boundries.

I think he wears a mask not to let his face convey the emotions he wants to express, and lets his guitar to do it for him...

There is something extra mysterious about Buckethead. His name seems to refer to the movie Legend, where one of the Pixies wears a huge mask to spy on the Goblins and claims the Unicorn horn. He also gets harassed by "Big D" at his concerts. He also acts a lot like No Face from Spirited Away.

Dear Buckethead, You are a gift to all true music fans who listen to your music. Thank you for being a perfectionist, and for the countless hours you obviously spent meticulously choosing every note composed in your songs, knowing your music will only be appreciated by your limited number of fans. Thank you for not being tarnished by record labels and for not giving in to main stream media demands. Thank you for not ruining your songs with lyrics that would only ruin your musical accordance

Regarding this bend at 3:24 that people are discoussing: its a pre-bend with some vibrato combined with manual volume-swelling (he adjusts the volume during the notes to make some notes scream and ring out more while some notes get turned down volume-wise to make them sound "dreamy" and fade out. This man is a god. That is why he makes stuff like this when he does cus he is gifted in the way that he can feel music, and feel when he's going to play whatever he decides to throw in.

buckethead hands down the most meaningful guitar player,but dimebag, zakk wylde etc. they don't exactly have the meaning in their guitar playing but there is a huge difference,i really don't think anyone else can do this maybe the guitarist from pink Floyd and the comfortably numb solo I can never remember his freakin name lol

Buckethead is by far the 'Jimi Hendrix' of the modern era souly based on his innovative ways to use and play the electric guitar. It's amazing how it started off with someone like Hendrix who really started the tread that electric guitar playing has gone. This music made by the man they call Buckethead are gonna be classics from now on and forever, the rest of the world just doesn't realize it yet.

I love that he's constantly on his knobs. Reminds me of so many other Guitar Heroes. One in particular is my favorite; Duane Allman. He was constantly on his knobs just like that.
