I’ve seen Buckethead three times with my son. All three times right up next to the stage. Every time, he hands out toys to the people in the front, and we’ve both played his kill switch. My son has all of our toys in his bedroom studio as mementos. I must say, that those concerts with my son will be something neither of us will forget.

Saw him December 2017 in LA and changed my life forever. My girlfriend and I love...absolutely love buckethead. We had a hard time....my fault....and went our separate ways. I went to bucketheads show by myself a few months after break up and he graced us with interworld and the new innocence and animal behavior. I completely lost it. Broke down in tears mid show. During intermission I was having a smoke and a guy saw the look on my face and asked me what could possibly be wrong. We talked for a bit and it was at that moment I realized I had made the biggest mistake of my life leaving my girlfriend. 2 days later I reached out to her. Needless to say almost 2 years later we are stronger than ever and I will be asking her to marry me. So yes buckethead affects so many people in such a positive way. I hope he knows what he means to us....his fans. Really liked your comment and felt like replying. Best wishes to you and your son and your family

Ozzy was very foolish to demand Buckethead to remove his bucket and mask to be able to play in his band. When Buckethead shows up for an interview, you let him wear whatever the hell he wants to. That mask and bucket adds epic mystique and imagery. Even when you know who he is. Dumb, dumb, dumb. If Buckethead shows up to your bands audition, make no demands. This is genius of a nearly unmeasurable scale. You don't put demands on such people.
@HairyMunci3 жыл бұрын
The most ridiculous thing Ozzy ever did. In the context of Ozzy’s persona and image buckethead would have been the perfect foil - Ozzy Osbourne with Michael Myers on guitar - the ultimate rock(y) horror show! The problem for Ozzy has always been insecurity- I’m sure Sharon wouldn’t have tolerated someone else stealing the limelight from her husband. Such a shame but the experiences of Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake and Jake E Lee bear this out .

Genius guitar player. Long fingers, it’s almost like he was designed to play on another level. He makes a guitar do things it was not even designed to do.

He’s certainly a masterful player but there are many guitarists in different genres as facile, who also make beautiful music (many with short fingers). That said, there is some serious mental disturbance manifest here: to hide behind a ridiculous Michael Myer’s Halloween mask and wear a KFC chicken bucket on your head for your entire career.

I really discovered Buckethead a month ago (sorry I'm an old school guitarist groupie), but I'll tell you, I've watched this video 46 times since then. Yeah, Satriani, Vai, Slash, all great guitarists, but this dude is just raw, pure and compete in himself. It's all about the music, and sharing his talent with us lesser humans.

I've been listening to this song for nearly 6 years and never commented. Buckethead Soothsayer really hits a special note for me. I found this song when I was going through it. Every opioid compound you could get access to. Working through sobriety I listened to this shit daily. Find a medium and pass through it. The way out..... Is through. Find it.

I was turned on to this guy only a few days ago after a young guy begged me to watch him. At first, as an old school guy, I said I don't want to watch a dude with a chicken bucket on his head. After all, I come from the generation of Randy Rhodes, Slash and others. But, he convinced me to listen and I've been kicking myself ever since for not listening sooner. This guy is the BEST electric guitar player I've ever heard or heard...period. And I think I've heard them all, all the way back to the seventies. Page, Rhodes, Slash, Beck, Dokken...etc. I've never seen someone so precise on the hard stuff. For those that don't play, using the index finger is the easiest. The pinky is the hardest. He seems to use them all without bias. It's absolutely incredible to me that his pinky is as profound as his index finger in playing. Not only that, it is as precise...no mistakes in tone or mutation. Almost inhuman. Perhaps that is why he wears the mask. He plays like a robot when it comes to precision, but he also puts the very human art of variance and nuance that robots can't do. Simply incredible.

I ONLY RECENTLY discovered Buckethead (LAST WEEK) and I honestly feel like IF he had lived, Jimi would have LOVED to play with Buckethead. I too am an "old school" guy who has followed the greats, Page, Gilmour, Jimi (of course) Duane Allman, Trower, Iommi, Rhodes, Santana, AND in my DECADES of searching out the next "VOODOO CHILD" have never found a more worthy individual more deserving of the title, "ALL HAIL VOODOO CHILD BUCKETHEAD"!!!!! " I SAID TURN THAT DAMN GUITAR DOWN"!!!!!!!

Awesome video and I like the description..well said. Buckethead is and has pretty much always been in his own league. In 2001 at Rock in Rio, he was in Guns' n Roses, and my father had passed away a few days, something 25 days, was Ona huge depression was when I saw him playing in the band, and I just stared at him . He took me to a level above my depression. Three months later I lost my sister to cancer, and again he helped me with his songs ... to me, he's the best, as well as being an excellent multiintrumentista, he is charismatic. Always follow.

I'm going to be honest, I'm in a similar boat with you on this one, although I've been a fan for a while now. But the first time I ever saw him, I HATED him, only because it was when he played with (fake) GnR at the MTV VMA's (whatever year that was), and I was like, this dudes a f'n weirdo, AND trying to jack Slash of his shoes. Little did I realize, years later, that he fits in them just fine, if not a bit better (as painful as that is to say).

His perfect technique is mesmerizing . fuckin guy can play like a wizard and write catchy riffs and solo in a variety of styles showing absolutely zero effort. do I tire sometimes of the over indulging in pure speed shredding? yah , but I am a guy who gets more out of a catchy riff then the extended solos of pure shredders. either way, this guy is at the top of the game when it gets to electric guitar.
