Stuff like this is why Dave Mustaine said in an interview when they asked him what he thought of the Slash/ Buckethead “feud”….”Buckethead is probably a better guitarist than both of us put together “! (and that comment from. dude who’s given about 2 compliments in his lifetime)
@Samurai78420 Жыл бұрын
You obviously know your shit, Brother. After playing for over 3 decades, Brian and Slash are on my huge influence list. I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know there was any issues between them. I will say tho, both of them are like fingerprints. They couldn't possibly be much more different than one another. Kinda bummed because they're both incredible in their own ways
@bill_y4762 Жыл бұрын
@@Samurai78420 I think it was just slash originally talking some shit because Bucket replaced him in GnR. But he seems to have come around, last interview i heard with him he was complimenting Buckethead on his solos on Chinese democracy which is fair. There are some damn tasty solos on that record. Originally he had said buckethead was “more of a shedder”… or something to that effect. Which is also fair but i think buckethead is one of those rare shredders who stays incredibly melodic and musical.

Wow epic rendition, don't think I have heard so many variations in any other performance. This just confirms that, along with blazing scale runs and shredding, he is a master improviser, and that is a large part of what makes listening to his playing so enjoyable, rarely ever the same thing twice. He actually messes up around the 7:54 mark and is completely off scale, I think he was just simply a fret too low from where he wanted to be. He recovers quick and, among that insane barrage of notes, most likely very few even noticed - A lot easier to cover up a goof on electric than acoustic in any case.

I wish, wish, wish he would publish a live show recorded from the soundboard. The boomy bass and the treble cutting in and out in this recording were a bummer.
