The interchange at Jackrabbit and I-10 is one of the most complex interchanges in the Valley and the city is very aware of the traffic congestion at this interchange. Unfortunately, ADOT is responsible for the maintenance, repair, construction or any improvements along I-10. This includes the ramps, bridges and the street that runs underneath the overpass. In addition, there is a major flood channel that runs in the area, so ADOT must also coordinate their construction efforts with the Flood Control District of Maricopa County and their Dept. of Transportation. Buckeye continues to talk with ADOT regularly about improving this interchange. ADOT will need to design and fund the much needed construction improvements.

In answer to loud cars, trucks, and motorcycles speeding up and down Indian School, north Verrado, and all around the Victory Loop every day and night thanks to The Stairs, the DMB will WIDEN north Verrado and put in MORE PARKING to encourage more of the same?

Jackrabbit needs work big time. A light at the 10 for sure. And the truck traffic resulting from the quarries down south are destroying the roads. Also need a few more taco trucks.

It’s still insane there are no plans for a traffic light at Jackrabbit and i10. Also not surprised that Victory and Verrado get attention before any other area of town. We live in Blue Horizon and never see officers in the neighborhood. It seems daily there’s another report in the neighborhood of someone trying to break into cars.

Mr. Twarek, we are aware of the issues at Jackrabbit and I-10 and we continue to talk with ADOT about improving that intersection. Buckeye PD recently arrested three individuals suspected of breaking into cars in the Blue Horizons neighborhood this weekend. One of the things that we need on our block is painted red corners on the sidewalk so the people who overnight park aren't clogging up the coming in and out. I did call the City and was told I would receive a call back but that has not occured (yet). The houses that have the garage access on the back park right up to the corner and it creates a one way on White Rock Rd on the corner of White Rock and Canton. I thought there was no overnight street parking but this does not seem to be enforced - Its crazy on this block

Why is there no commercial development on Sun Valley Parkway? There are no gas stations, grocery stores, or anything to service the very large Tartesso community.

Can we get another Post Office at some point? Somewhere close to I-10 would be perfect. I don't care which exit, it would be nice to not have to travel 25 minutes to access my "local" post office.

It would be great if they would build more specialists office, doctors offices for medical assistance in Verrado its hard finding a job in Buckeye. You have to commute out.

I too really appreciate this video. Buckeye needs to do a massive education program for owners of cats and dogs. Nearly every day, in Verrado alone, people post photos of cats and/dogs they have found running loose. Most are without collars. Few are microchipped. Perhaps you can convince local veterinarians to join in and offer free/low-cost vaccinations and microchipping. Collars and ID are inexpensive and yet seldom used. Maricopa County requires all dogs over the age of six months to be licensed. An ID is provided with the license. If anyone keeps a dog or cat and cares for it for six consecutive days, they automatically become the owner of the animal, meaning they will be legally required to license and vaccinate the animal as well as provide feed, water, and shelter. (Maricopa County.gov) This is a public health safety issue that needs to be addressed ASAP.
