I like how you present the game. I just started playing on my xbox Series/S. It is too bad that the game is getting poor reviews. I don't think that this game is that different from Snow Runner. It is a little more challenging than snow runner in some ways, but it is also more forgiving than its older counterpart (Snowrunner). The thing I think that is hurting people's opinions of the game, it is the remote. It's tobad the devs didn't use the old remote format. You made a good assessment by pointing out how players need to come into this game for the first time with an open mind. The game you need to take your time with it and get to know it. I love the game. It will be fun to try it out and join a few co-op games. It will be fun to buy and unlock all of the upgrades. Happy trails and good luck. I'll look forward to future videos.

I agree...so many expect Expeditions to be similar to Snowrunner. I wonder how the game would have fared if Snowrunner didn't exist to effect players' expectations. From the reviews, it looks like performance on XBox is a major issue too, which is unfortunate.

As a 700 hours Snowrunner player, and contrary to my initial thoughts, I’m finding this game quite amazing. Yes, the controls are absolutely infuriating, I have 10 hours of game play and I keep pressing the wrong remote buttons to do simple things, because I’m so used to Snowrunner, but besides that and one or two small irritating things, the game is so relaxing … and yes, as a SR player, this game is soooooooo easy to play 😅 I also love your videos btw 😅

Interestingly, I recently got back into Snowrunner and was SO frustrated about the learning curve on my first missions and kept having to ask my kids what to do. But in Expeditions, it was simple to dive right into and very relaxing for the most part. It's different but very chill and a fun doable challenge at the same time. Thank you for your insight. 🥰

@@BuckeyeBunny yeah it’s a more “chill” experience. I’m loving it. And I’m really tired of SR, that game sucks the life from you 🤣🤷. Finished Season 12 and now I’m taking a long break from it

Probably should have put this in the comments to the "tips" video, but I only just thought about it: One of my favorite towing tricks from SR is still in the game. Can't get that annoying thing to move no matter how hard you try to pull it out? Find an obstacle like a tree or a rock and place yourself so the "immovable object" (obstacle) is between you and the thing you're trying to pull out. Now attach the winch to the tow target and start winching. Since the game can't pull your truck through the obstacle, it'll pull the towing target closer instead, since game logic dictates that something has to move when you winch.

WHAT?? That's awesome! I HOPE my brain remembers this next time I'm in a towing debacle. Thank you very much for sharing this!

@@BuckeyeBunny You didn't know about that one? Oh yes, the invincible winch, you just have to wedge yourself into a position where the winch can't pull you backwards. That's the only way I ever managed to haul that pesky Kodiak back to base in Michigan with nothing but my stock Scout 800 back in the day. Not going to lie, though, it took me a good hour and a half 😂 I've even yanked an Azov upright with a Lo4f that way.
