Sonny is getting to be a beast. Future Dave Robinson of Packer fame. Enjoy!

I'd like to see our two 5* LBs working in tandem: Sonny as the blitzing LB... and CJ off the edge. Is CJ our best edge rusher? 🤔

He's going to continue to get better and move himself into a 1st 2nd rounder in another year.

What he needs to do is stay in his lane. He's been out of position an awful lot this year and given up some big plays by over-pursuing and losing his angle.

Sonny still has long way to go to be OSU caliber LB, misses LOTS of tackles in run game - he was unblocked on 2 blitzes in 2nd half everyone is overhyping…he needs to get much stronger and play smarter before can reach his potential as complete LB…he also has blown his assignments on numerous plays this year at LB which will eventually hurt OSU - I think A. Reese is better option at LB if playing a strong Run Game Opponent…

I would not call Sonny close to becoming elite. At this point, he's a 5th to 6th round draft pick. He still makes a lot of mistakes, takes bad angles and is still a ways away from developing the instincts and finer points of being a LB. He's a really good, long athlete who is trying to become a really good football player. There is a huge difference. He does well against one dimensional offenses like Iowa, but against dynamic offenses like Oregon and Indiana are where he can exposed. It is wild that Sonny only turns 20 this weekend, and this is his 3rd season in the program. Another year in the program next year at LB will really help. He still has potential to be great for that reason.

I hope he stays for his sr year. He isn’t a first round pick unless a team is enamored of his athleticism. He can develop into a first round pick next year though.
