Tighten up the LBs and DE's play, get the TE's to block and Buckeyes win 'em all. LBs aren't shedding blocks, scraping and getting in the hole at point of attack. DE's aren't getting off the ball and leveraging the Tackles to get to QB. IMHO. Natty or Bust! O-H

Its comical how some of the same people who've advocated for more rotation with the "just throw them out there and let them learn" philosophy, can't even stomach doing that while only giving up 1 initial TD drive, a controversial penalty aided TD, and a 2nd half shut out. Yes, some things do need cleaned up, but the cloud of misery seething from some fans over this game is downright embarrassing. Way to propagate the caricature of OSU fans as delusionally entitled to perfection.🙄

Even in this breakdown they’re nonsense fan stuff. The second play it’s in slow motion and Zach is treating it like it’s real speed. The QB has to move off his spot and threw it in less than 3 seconds. And the third play there is zero pocket and the ball was out in less than 2 seconds yet he’s complaining about the pressure. The standards people set are so impossibly high literally nothing is good enough. It’s also hilarious just how bad Zach is at breaking the film. Two of these plays he’s bitching about every other film study person has pointed out are RPOs where if the linebacker “banged some dudes” then the ball is just thrown over their head to an open WR

Expectations are so high that every perceived slow start or lack of intensity or execution on any given unit is going illicit the “ sky is falling” cries from the faithful…let’s just play the games and put together as much of a balanced approach to the field on any given Saturday and enjoy the results ! The players play based on the direction of the coaches. Knowles needs way more blame than he's giving himself.

Strongly disagree. This was just bad play by the LBers and DL. They couldn't get off of any blocks and the LBers were very slow to react.

In 2021 Knowles coached LBs an they where the leading tacklers on team. Since James has taken over they seem to be more confused. Not triggering very fast or reading offense. Knowles is a great LB coach but he has had to change his scheme to fit L Johnson an DL. The LBs lack of plays Aint on Knowles. If he had it his way OSU be playing with 3 DL an a stand up LB free ranging the line of scrimmage.

​@@toddb5537 There was 1 LB in the box on some plays and the Defense was out schemed on those plays the 12 yard run by the RB this is easy to spot. And you also seem to not know the LB's are playing both the run and the pass. If they trigger and attack the run immediately and the QB pulls the ball and throws over their head you will be whining about the LB's are giving up big pass plays next.

I think it is pretty obvious that we caught a break on defense when the Marshall QB went down. You could tell their offense just had no confidence in the 2nd and 3rd team QBs. If we do not markedly improve on both sides of the ball with interior line play and linebackers we will get exposed early and often in Big Ten play.

The QB literally just receives the snap in slow motion and Zach says where's the pressure its been 2-3 seconds lol. Somebody should probably tell him 2-3 seconds in slow motion is not the same as live. Also he says OSU is expecting a run but there is only 5 in the box thats 1 LB and does not say run stop but the opposite and is why it was an easy 12 yd run.

We Need to start an NIL fund to get Zach on coaching staff!! I love James but Styles looks lost an Reese looks like best LB on team. Styles seem to be still playing with a safety mindset! His reading an reaction time is pretty bad! I love these guys Hopefully he figures it out. Reese an Powers are better at pulling trigger!
