Look, I would choose CJ too in a heartbeat, but don’t discredit who JT was to this team. CJ had two swings at Michigan and didn’t get it done. Was it entirely his fault? No. But you can’t use losses to discredit everything a player did for the team.

Troy Smith, that’s because they thought Jones was the guy. JT had the grit. Justin could run. CJ could run. Ryan just didn’t want these guys to get hurt. He knew the team would need them healthy to win in the playoffs.

JT is easily the most underrated Buckeye ever. To say that Howard is the next JT is a massive compliment and overstatement. Objectively, by stats, JT could be the greatest buckeye of all time. Furthermore, while Urban named Cardale the starter, the team Named JT captain. He was a great leader even though Urban totally missed it.

Doug’s the most clueless football journalist and his acumen keeps dropping year after year…… ……sure Ohio State had the best QB’s in the Big 10 during that stretch (with one exception => Michael Penix) => but Les Mi Rises got their names wrong….. ……they were Kenny Guiton, Cardale Jones, Joe Burrow, Quinn Ewers and Kyle McCord. PS. Certainly CJ Stroud had the skill set to be => but since he only utilized his talents to their fullest TWICE in 3 years => he doesn’t get the honor… Quit being a putz frenchy and wake up !

Caleb Williams was Lincoln Riley’s 3rd Heisman winner and #1 draft pick. I’m not sure I agree that the shine has worn off of Riley when it comes to QB recruiting and development.

Howard reads the defense better from a passing standpoint. Howard is also more accurate.

I think - so far - Will is doing quite a 'respectable job' as our QB ! --- He has earned a B+ grade in my book -- with expectations -- for more improvement. (?) His decision making has not been flawless - but mostly so. > His comfort level is getting better and better. OSU opponents have to be nervous as hell preparing for him - given the run threat he brings - in addition to all those 5* super star weapons he has around him ! - - I really like what he gives Chip Kelly to work with and that may be most important in the long run. -?-

Will Howard is a good... not great QB. If he makes an NFL roster, he will be holding a clipboard. Julian Sayin is the only legit NFL talent in the QB room.

I'd bet will Howard is a 3rd or 4th Rd pick today and Depending on what he does the rest of the season he may get drafted to be a josh Allen backup Bruce Young was the #1 overall Bust like I'd take Howard over Young in the NFL right now
