Excellent video footage. I love your ingenuity for stand location and willingness to make adjustments. Very cool!

Hey Jared, just have to tell you this - Sunday was the last day of rifle in KY, 4:00 came way to early lol. Got up and headed once more out into the big swaths of public land here. Thermals were dumping cold air over the ridge behind me so I got up mid-morning and decided to walk about, stalk and hunt a little. Came across a fresh trail of a single deer walking a high line against this ridge. I was taking my time as I went looking down upon to vast benches below. came to the end on the ridge line coming down into a saddle, I could see over both sides. I was actually looking down at the benches when a movement caught my eye - almost unbelievably there was a huge 10 walking the same trail... right towards me! And he was looking down at the benches too. What a great moment and blessing, something I will remember for a long time - of course after the initial excitement came all the work lol. But I wouldn't trade a minute of it! Just thought I'd share this, for whatever it's worth... hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks Jared, I appreciate your dedication to the solo venture. I really don’t have a hunting partner so I end up bailing out way too early. I know I miss a lot of good action.

I see you are still close with the Midwest Whitetails family. Zack is having an awesome year. He caught up with that raisin buck and now this new buck. Awesome! Can't wait to see the footage.. Bill is still chasing the Jordan Buck. The year is just getting started...I can't wait to see what comes into late season food. Keep em coming

Zach is having a great year for sure, he and I have been good friends for a long time so it was fun to spend an evening in the stand with him. Thanks for watching!

I love how Jared says it’s a cold morning, and he has on clothes that I would wear in September. He never has much warm clothes on. Lol Good stuff, been a fan before it was cool.

As much as we think we’ve figured them out in fact, bucks have got us patterned. They know to move when we’re in our house-stand hanging with wifey and family eating turkey but soon as we get into the deer stand, they disappear 🤣.

For sure, but that's also the best part! Keeps you motivated to keep going. Thanks for watching!

Happy Thanksgiving Jared, had a quick question, how does Iowa work for tags even as a resident of the state. You killed that giant a few weeks back what tags are you able to hunt with. Guess I was confused for an Iowa resident why you couldn't keep going. Thanks Jared and really enjoyed the video, Ryan in Michigan
@jaredmillsАй бұрын
Hey Ryan. So any Iowa resident can kill two bucks statewide, but only one can be in the early split of the bow season. As a landowner, I get a third buck tag that is only good for the land that I own, so that is the tag I am hunting with right now. After the gun seasons, I will be able to bowhunt statewide again. Hope that makes sense.
@ryanfarmer5155Ай бұрын
@jaredmills yes that does make sense. Thanks for the info.
