Bucks firing of coach Adrian Griffin was inevitable

Bucks coach Adrian Griffin has been fired. I expected this to happen eventually, and to be honest, now is as good a time as any. He wasn't the right man for the job, and Giannis arguing with him as well as Dame not being utilized in pick and rolls is a result of that. Doc Rivers is being put up as a "strong candidate." That sounds terrifying, and I don't like him as a coach, but if not him, then who would fit with Milwaukee?

I know this isn't necessarily an MVP season for Giannis but I am so impressed by how his game holds up under the stress of new teammates and coaching issues. Problems like that have regular knocked all stars down to bench players many times. And his efficiency is crazy

Westhead won the champ his first year, and went on to become widely considered to be one of the most brilliant offensive-minded coaches in basketball history, as he'd go on to demonstrate at Loyola Marymount and then the Denver Nuggets, (see the 30 for 30 doc about him, "Guru of Go"). He was driven out by Magic because Paul's offense, (at the time, it wasn't the famous "System" offense that he'd go on to create and implement else where), was centered to much around Kareem, and Magic wanted a more fast-break focused offense. So yeah, needless to say -this isn't the best comparison, aside for the teams star player running the guy outa town.

They knew they couldn’t beat the Sixers without injuring Embiid and that’s exactly what they did. They took advantage of the NBA and their post season officiating stance and got away with intentionally injuring a player. They all still lost but made it so the Sixers couldn’t win their second round matchups. That’s not really choking but sure hate some more. It's astonishing that a person who's still living off his only championship ring as head coach (the 2008 Boston Celtics) gets infinite second chances. At this rate the Bucks would've been better off keeping Mike Buddenholzer who much like Doc in Boston with KG, Pierce and young Rajon Rondo (and Ray Allen, but Boston fans would rather speak in hushed tones about his time as a Celtic), he got carried by Giannis, Middleton and Jrue to the NBA Championship.

Tbh not really a problem with coaching. It's just that the Bucks lack atheltic, 2-way players. Which is pretty much something Giannis has been needing around for since the 18-19 season. Young teams have always been ahle to push the pace on thr Bucks and they have never been able to keep up because of how old and slow their players are. They need to trade some of their players like Middleton for someone more atheltic, younger, and 2-way.

Rookie coach on the 2xMVP team was a risky move, but also I think it is not fair. Bucks are my fav team in the East since BigDog/Baker/Ray tream in the 90s.
