This is the guy that made me literally stop listening to rap music due to how the industry and radio treated him. Buckshot has a ill ass flow. He ride a second or so behind the beat and it was the first time such of flow was utilized. Like Rakim, Buck uses his voice like an instrument particularly the Sax. "From my dialect to my diaphragm my man" the verse gave the impression of a Saxophone. The dude is ill. Str8 up emcee. BK salute!

Of course a Buckshot solo album powered by Def Jam would have been the shit but he might have been killed over jealousy if he sold his soul. But imagine like a “Tical” by Buckshot. Everybody in New York has been influenced by Buck, more or less : Biggie… even the sing-song style of 50 cent comes from that “Gotcha Opin” vibe
@foggylungs4 жыл бұрын
Real shit. Him along with Blackmon and Grand Puba brought a different vibe and some new East Coast shit that revolved around them. They started the East Coast rennaciance that carried the 90s
@kingzerkcees29874 жыл бұрын
Facts. Like in “Warning” when Biggie says “I don’t give a f*ck about you or ya weak crew what gonna do when big poppa come for you.” ...That’s a buckshot “I got ya opin”vibe/flow. Biggie even used to rock left to right when he rapped, just like buckshot.
