I love all your patterns and bags! I have made so many. 😊 It’s nice to see videos but I have made all of yours with patterns from your book and paper patterns. They are great and easy to follow. Also, envious of your studio and being able to ride your bike there!! Goals 😀

Yay! So nice to see you with another tutorial. I have had this pattern for a while now but have yet to make a Buckthorn bag. I've made several bags from your patterns and am eager to sew along with you again. Thanks for the great designs and straightforward tutorials!

Beautiful design!! 😍 And I love how your accent makes bag sound like "beg", whereas my super Southern accent turns it into a two-syllable word 😂

I love this design, but the totes aren't quite big enough for what I need. Would it be difficult for a beginner to adjust the pattern to make the bag about 2" wider?

Hi Emily, you could also make the Backpack size (which is bigger) into a tote by leaving off the backpack stuff on the back and adding a front handle to the backside. Otherwise, yes, you could do it fairly easily. Add 2" in width to all of the Main Panels and then 2" at the fold of the base piece. Hope that helps!

If I use waxed canvas for the outside and regular canvas for the inside, I don't need to use any interfacing at all?
@noodleheadsewingpatterns
@noodleheadsewingpatterns 4 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, that's correct. You can of course add whatever interfacing you'd like!

Do you prewash your fabrics? I just picked up this pattern and can't wait to get started.

I don't typically for bag making. If you might want to wash your bag in the future, I would recommend pre-washing.
