Today's producer has to have that life experience of hearing that music like the 90's producers had hearing Blk soul, funk in the house, in movies, TV shows & park jams 🤷🏾♂️

Nah not for nothing this was a dope interview. Growing up as a native New Yorker you heard these songs that Buckwild and Esso was responsible for and hearing them tell the stories behind them is two times dope. I also wanna hear Esso and Hyn just talk between themselves too. They have enough stories and jewels to share without guest appearances by them just being themselves. This was another dope episode 🔥🙏🏽

I don't know if what Esso said about Jay & Beans is true but I remember hearing "Do It Again" was Beanie Sigel's song & Jay took it. That single would've took Beans to another level if it was his with a Jay feature.

Negative! At the end of the day when was the last time music had staying power? The 90s & early 2000’s. It’s been 15-20 years now since we had records with real replay value. Muthafuckas be quick to say there’s great records you just gotta search for em…Bullshit! Even the underground joints are weak compared to the product being put out at that time.

Why are you eating and drinking in front of this man? Buy him something to eat, you know what I’m saying? Offer him something! Where did y’all start doing that? hip hop is the new plantation. "With knowledge, ingenuity, and information, I know you've made some money. So why not create your own industry? Why keep depending on others? Why settle for a percentage of your money when you should get all of it? It doesn't make sense to me. What's the point of having knowledge and wisdom if you don't apply it to yourself? I understand competition, but to all the brothers and sisters in hip hop: you're not reinvesting your money into yourself and your craft. Instead, you're depending on someone else, on another culture to feed you. That sounds backwards to me."

Quincy Jones is from an era within which the handlers understood the music. He was more of a mediator. The handlers of today are continuously playing catch up with the culture hence why its all messed up. Quincy was pop music. That genre was created by the handlers and the language was universal. Hip Hop language is black american and latino
