I like your thoughts and I would interview him as one of the top 8 candidates because even though he a little older than the oldest Jet player, he might be the right fit for the Jets to win the Super Bowl.

One thing that I think too many Bucs fans are not talking about enough when it comes to the debate of firing Bowles and keeping Coen, is giving enough credit to Baker Mayfield. I'm not in any way saying that Coen isn't an incredible OC, but just look at what Baker can do when he's comfortable. It's a lot of factors that go into why this team has been successful. Obvoiusly Coen needs the right talent, but Canales did a lot without the running game firing the way it has in 2024. And there's no guarantee Coen would be a good HC. And on top of that, there's just no way the Bucs owners are firing Todd Bowles, who is popular with the players and has continued the winning culture from Bruce Arians and Tom Brady, I can't understand why so many Bucs fans are so eager to fire a guy who, yes admittedly has flaws, just to enter into the nightmare that is the coaching carousell if we don't retain Coen. Ive never been more excited as a Bucs fan and I"ve been an adult for both Super Bowl wins. This current roster and coaching staff is special cuz it's time for the offense to finally take the stage. It's so much fun and I will waste no time complaining about things that don't need to be worried about in week 17 of a regular season playoff push. I think people think we're not in rebuild mode cuz so many guys won a super bowl but in reality that's exactly what these last 2 years have been and there's so much potential ahead. Firing Bowles would set us back in my opinion cuz it will set back Baker whether people like to admit it or not. STABILITY is key in the NFL. Let's Go Bucs!

@@bangjoeofficial I love the added insight here. Baker himself sounds like he's credited Coen as the reason he can be comfortable and look like a playoff QB. If we're talking just strictly management of offense I think Coen has done phenomenal. I agree with the unknown of him being a HC and the potential setback.

As a Buc fan...the other big difference is that (1) Our O-line has (pretty much) played together all year and (2) the run blocking scheme has changed in a way that maximizes the athleticism of our o-linemen. Throw in Bucky...it's pretty amazing to watch this offense as a fan. We're really not used to this.

@@scottbaron121 How you feeling about the o-line coach y'all brought in? Seems like a big part of the equation as well.

The Bucs OC is a little short of experience. The question is if he is moving up too fast? See other teams use day three picks to get decent to good players. JD was the only Jet GM recently to do that. He could use a couple of more seasons of success.
