Lavonte for whatever reason never was a major household name, but he has consistently been a top tier LB for many years.

Cause he plays for the Bucs. It’s not a super team, only time was Tom’s second year with Bucs

He's been consistently good and sometimes great, but he never became the consistently GREAT Linebacker everyone knew. Career top 5er, hall of good-but-not-great.

TB will never say it but winning with the Bucs must rank amongst his most satisfying achievements. The team won the hard way (they struggled badly until after the bye week) and he won without Belichek, when all were saying he was a ‘system QB’; ‘washed out’ etc.

Absolutely…. It put all haters on hold and validated he was the real goat

Give Lavonte his due, he is a huge part of that SB win. He was on Kelce like a shirt for most of the game and largely shut him down as an outlet for Mahommes.

I'll never forget Tompa Bay Buccaneers Superbowl win at Home! It was A All time beat down BLOWOUT. What better way to put a cherry on top then first ever in year one to win it all in your OWN STADIUM. Tampa deserved that and their fans and I'm all for it. All the long time Bucs like David,Evans,and others GO BUCS

2 things need to be said for non ball knowers. 1. Lavonte David is one of the best Bucs ever, and one of the best linebackers I’ve seen play. He’s the dream draft pick for any team. At pick 58, 2012, looking back, is an absolute steal. Consistent, focused, locker room guy, strong, fast, smart, great instincts, decisive. And the longevity he’s had is rare. The type of player you said “man he deserves a ring”. And he got one and was instrumental for the Bucs that whole year.🙌🏽 2. Say this out loud. “Tom Brady left the patriots, signed to the Bucs, with Gronk, at 43, and the first year there won the Super Bowl, which was in Tampa, and he became the first player ever to win a home Super Bowl, oh and he threw 43 TDs that year.” Imagine someone told you that in 2012.

Leave NE after 20 years, and come into a NEW org DURING the COVID-19 pandemic AND GLOBAL LOCKDOWN???! Get them all to SB despite many losses, and wait all that time to talk in the locker room??? And WIN, no, obliterate, everyone's sure thing team??? There's only one word for that kind of excellence: GOAT.

Mahomes is an amazing player. That game, his offensive line, let him down badly. I remember that scramble when he was horizontal to the turf, sidearmed it and it his the WR in the grill on the goaline. But to match or beat Tom, he still has a long way to go. Also his style of play does not promote a long career.

Bucs had a world class defense that year. Even if Jamis was the QB they would’ve won the superbowl. Brady actually cost them some games when he forgot what down it was. I think Jamis would’ve went 15-1 and won the Super Bowl. Brady is way overrated

A person can't be the GOAT QB when they have lost Twice to the exact same person in the Superbowl. Also, until Bill gets to Coach another STACKED Team, that Tampa Team was STACKED, lets not behave as if Bill wasn't a Coaching Genius.
@coryhellerer34258 ай бұрын
10 seasons without Brady had a losing record. A whole decade of coaching and a less than mediocre record. With Brady they had a average ranked defense. Look at the stats. Not saying he is the worst but I'm sorry he is not the best either.

@natureredux19578 ай бұрын
@@AlwaysHalloween000 Guess what happens when you win for a Long Time, you DRAFT real low every year. I also could care less what Bill did before Brady unless you can TELL me exactly was the quality of those early year teams before he went to New England. Folks also don't want to talk about the first year Brady was out due to injury, New England went 11-5. But that was a odd year where that didn't get one into the playoffs. The First Yr Brady left for Good, they went to the playoffs with Horrible QB, Matt Jones. What's also not talked about although when Brady was there, it was talked about a Ton, How Blanking Brady didn't want a Good QB sitting behind him, clearly he didn't want Bill to have his Ready Replacement. So sure any Team goes up in Flames without a decent QB. It's one thing to go to a TEAM as a QB, ready made to win as oppose to a Coach building an entire Team from the Ground Up. I am still waiting for the Brady FANDOM crew to figure that part out.
