While out on a walk this morning, I went by the T&OC depot at CP Colsan. I then headed south, hitting the crossings on the way down to Southern Avenue. At Woodlawn Avenue, I saw that Norfolk Southern had a northbound lined to turn east onto the Chicago, Fort Wayne & Eastern to head towards Crestline. After going across on Hopley Avenue, I turned south on Clay Street to head towards Southern Avenue and heard the train approaching as the horn was blown for the crossing down at Mt. Zion Road. I quickly picked up my pace to find a shaded spot and catch the 49-car train as it came around the curve and slowed to turn east.
