56年前，大学1年生の時，新宿か渋谷の「ジャズ喫茶」(当時数多くありました)でBud PowellのCleopatra’s Dream(Anthony’s Nightmare? by佐山雅弘)を聴いたのが運のツキ（？）でした．Jazzにどっぷり「沼って」しまいました❤ 聴いていると，グイグイ持っていかれそうな好演です🎉

For you reference, we had our stage set up referring to the great Oscar Peterson trio style since we were playing as a piano trio on the day. Thank you for the comment and we hope you enjoy our other videos too!

@@OsakaJazzChannel can’t argue with Oscar Peterson.🤣🤣 But I wonder why he chose a set up in which the piano player has no visual connection or communication with the drums and bass? What was your experience. I love Osaka Jazz. You are wonderful players.

Assuming from our experience and past debates, having the bassist to be able to see the pianist's left hand (which is likely to play the base of the chord) makes it efficient for the whole band to react to any improvisation (especially in Oscar Peterson's case) happening on the spot. We thought it'll be as efficient for us to go with the same positioning since we didn't have a vocalist or a front instrument on the day, featuring the piano trio.
