What would you recommend for a IM Lagoon 25 EXT I have algae that are like a mat and has bubbles, grows all over my rocks and sand.

The L4 would be too large for a 25g tank - the L2 would be more appropriate. You can adjust the LED intensity on my scrubbers, so you can tune the scrubber to your needs. The L2 works for a wide range of tanks, generally up to 100-120g (or more, depending on certain conditions)

H again Bud. What size are the individual LEDs?
@budcarlson17 жыл бұрын
The LEDs I use are all 3W - Philips for the 660s and SemiLED for the 420s

Is this model big enough for a 250 gallons heavily stocked system ?
@budcarlson17 жыл бұрын
Sorry man, I totally missed your comment! The answer is, it depends. Each system is different, the best thing I can do is point you to a Reef2Reef thread where I answer a similar question in detail: www.reef2reef.com/threads/sizing.262896/

wow... the price for this is just a joke, can't believe there is a plenty of people ready to pay for this ;-)

pemergency you get what you pay for, and you’re definitely free to judge and buy solely on price. But hey thanks for coming here to my channel and ripping on my product

luckily we live in a freedom of speech times and we can freely comment whichever something in our eyes is worth the money or not just by looking on the video. There is a lot of people who would pay a bunch of $ for a box of ancient matches even they can use a $1 lighter. Dont get me wrong, i respect what you doing, but just dont think the price is matching the product in terms of what it actually does.

I put a lot of thought into small details and features that other products don’t have, and in many cases, can’t have without injection molding - like having a removable growth chamber with both drains in the bottom that seal into the base. I tried making that out if PVC and acrylic, it was very difficult to make it work at all let alone make consistently. My goal when I designed this was to eliminate every common troublesome issue with previous designs by myself and others. There’s still a bit of room for improvement, but I covered most of them pretty well. Other designs fall short in certain areas but will do the job ok, and I could make units like that, I just choose not to make that design because I’m focused on the full-feature product. The most expensive part is the lighting, and there’s not a lot of room to wiggle there without making a big sacrifice in quality and flexibility. However I do have a few plans in mind for future version options

I give you a credit for that for sure, i can see this project cost you a lot of work and hours, and im not saying as the product is bad, actually it is pretty damn good, but the price point in my opinion is just not there... you are asking $419 for the cheapest one and $1429 for the L16 unit... i mean...... of course it is your right to ask whichever pirce you want, by the end of the day you created the product ;-)

Like I said, it’s all in the details. While it’s not a direct comparison, comparing a Skimz algae reactor to and ARID is not apples to apples. You have to consider all aspects of both products before saying ARID’s price is a joke.
