European trucks are mostly built like this although it's usually a cabover style as it helps them travel narrow twisty roads better.

I've always invisioned something very similar. These setups are very common in Europe but not in the states. It's like an exbiditer pays more because it's essentially an 18 wheeler that drives and turns like panel truck. Always thought exbediter units were cool cuz they always have large 96"sleepers that features dinettes and sometimes even bathrooms thought their "wet baths" meaning to those who don't know that it doubles as a shower, something very common in small campers. Regardless you basically have all like home. 1 major problem though is they don't pay very at all unless you're lucky enough to be hauling high priority loads like notorious "ghost fleet" but you've got better chances winning the lottery lol. Now with units like these that haul just as much as standard 18 wheeler yet learning to drive is no different driving a moving truck. 40 yrs old Living in Kansas I've seen 1 like this my whole life & thought it was coolest thing. Plus there are talks about a possible cabover comeback which would be hella cool to all old enough to remember seeing all the time. That combined with this would add even more to bottom line. It's huge misconception that cabovers were fazed our due to being bad on fuel. It mostly stemmed around length restrictions being let up & rough ride & getting in & out ofis what did it all of which have been resolved in coolest of ways thanks to technology. When 1st coming across this company & their trucks I really thought it was either foreign or just conceptual idea. Couldn't believe it was real here in the states. I TRULY hope this takes off .. cool video

Never seen the combo before. Good looking rig. What's the advantage of the straight truck with a trailer rather than using a regular tractor/trailer combo? Maybe the straight truck isn't pulling the trailer much of the time? Might give the driver options for adding capacity if needed.

It's a concept, Straight trucks never have trailers for a reason. In this situation you might aswell use a tractor trailer this is just a waste of money.

Detach from trailer to access residences inaccessible by tractor-trailer. Use straight truck as shuttle vehicle. Save thousands per year on UHaul rentals, thousands more on labor for long carries, plus reduce unnecessary shuttles, double handling, damage claims. If you're in the HHG world, the advantages are clear.
