This man is a legend, but he's talking some really confusing stuff here. He's trying to sound like the Dalai Lama, but his examples involving a CD and the development of dance make no sense at all. "You have to train your mind and not your body so you can dance to the music?" That doesn't make any sense. There are millions of people who love listening to music and still can't dance. What about all the musicians? The body also has a memory, and it needs to practice to the music. Unfortunately, I have to disagree as well that you have to go to the original source to learn something properly. That may have been the case in the past, but nowadays knowledge is widely distributed. It's simply ridiculous to claim that if you want to learn, for example, locking, you have to go to LA. This dance style has already established itself in various countries, and you can easily learn any style in Europe or Asia or wherever as well.

I think he try to say it would be better to learn from the source. Sure you can learn everywhere, Internet also BUT its a Bug different if you learn from the original people who found or create it. ITS definitly true because some persons who teach a style they even not tellin you everything whats important in the dance style is. As also a fact that most dancers have not a real groove😂

@@SchiggyPrime Hmm, I have had different experiences in many respects and, accordingly, a different opinion. He contradicts himself as well. Dancing has always changed and is constantly evolving, which is why I find it difficult to compare dancing with Kung Fu and other sports. It's simply wrong to claim that I can only learn a style properly by going to the place where it originated. I have been dancing for over 25 years, I have been to LA and have met numerous teachers and dancers. Many of them have never been to the birthplace of the style and still have incredible knowledge and skills. Do you want to tell these successful people that they can't really do it or have never learned it properly because they were not at the birthplace? Dancing thrives on spreading. A dancer takes a style, adds their own style to it, and so on. It may have been that way in the past, but with television, social media, and so on, knowledge has spread worldwide. "It's definitely true because some people who teach a style don't even tell you everything that's important in the dance style." Maybe you have indeed come across the wrong teachers, but the same can happen to you right at the scene. I don't know you, maybe you're not yet ready for some information from a dancer's standpoint, and even here, opinions differ because even OG's sometimes tell different things about what is important in a style. While Buddha Stretch comes across as incredibly condescending and arrogant in this video, he also has videos where he almost tells the opposite of what he says here. As I said, it sounds like he just wants to show off in this video. "As also a fact that most dancers do not have a real groove." Oh, really? Who are you to decide what a "REAL GROOVE" is? Sorry, I mean that in general and don't mean to attack you. Dancing is art, and art is subjective. What is the most beautiful painting in the world? Who is the best singer? Who is the best dancer? A dancer who wins first place in one place may not win it in another because they simply may not appeal to the taste there. Of course, you can measure quality up to a certain point, but after that, it becomes difficult. Maybe many of the dancers you think have no groove think the exact same thing about you. And are they right?
