this is it, this is how it is! I approve how it is being being pronounced, because youtube is full of Amitaba videos with the Chinese pronunciation. I don't like the Chinese pronunciation because they stuggle pronnouncing the letter R and they sound as if they are saying SHI e not HRI

Is is effective if you just listen to it or do you have to chant it?
@meditativemind
@meditativemind 9 жыл бұрын
+Mike Smith Its effective even when you listen to it, and its playing in the background. But if you can chant along with this, the vibrations generated by your own body, will amplify the effect. Hope it helps. Blessings :)

Meditative Mind Here is a thought. Is it still effective if someone is not Buddhist? I am open to the "goods" in life and my family are open to faiths that are welcoming with open arms. I find that Buddhists and other less known religions are more accepting of other beliefs than Christianity and Islam.
@aseformo2449
@aseformo2449 9 жыл бұрын
+Mike Smith They are not lesser known if you travel to, say Asia- where most people live in this world, as we tend to forget here in the West. You don´t have to be a Buddhist to practice vibrational chanting, and unlike in Christian and Islamic belief systems, there is no otherworldly Rightous to tell you that you can´t belong because of this or that-- thats your egos job, right.
@MikeSmith-ih9lx
@MikeSmith-ih9lx 9 жыл бұрын
The only reason I ask is that belief systems such as Islam and Christianity are systems where they have an exclusive right to God for themselves; meaning, God only loves Christians and people of the Islamic faith. Personally, I see each faith as one piece of a whole puzzle no matter the difference just as with the many cultures of the world where there are some similarities but many more differences and that is what makes it special. However, when religion is injected into the conversation it takes on an emotional content and becomes "My God is better than yours or My God is the only true God." My own personal opinion is this: If there is a God (I believe in a supreme being) and with most people of each faith claiming their God is the to be the right one, God must really stupid to create all these different human beings and deciding which one he/she loves. A true God does not decide but allows you to make choices. God does not pick sides. Ultimately, we need to look at ourselves and compare us to the whole universes or universes and see how significant we are. If God is a beach and we humans are a grain of sand on this one beach (there may be other beaches) we are not really significant as when compared to the universe as a whole where we reside but may be important in our little corner of the universe. I don't have a problem with different belief systems because I see them as different parts of a whole. One part may have some similarity with another while another part may have none. This is not a problem for me since I see them as a whole.

+Mike Smith I like your approach. I just wanted to point out first that Islam and Christianity are by no means mutually exclusive, and that Muslims believe in one God, and Abraham and Isaac from the Old Testament of the Bible, and Jesus Christ from the New Testament all figure into their sacred texts as holy prophets. Additionally, as you know, all forms of Christianity trace back to the simple lessons ascribed to Jesus. The New Testament does not distinguish Christians from non-Christians in terms of who Jesus said God loves and does not love a priori. At most, he contrasts sinners to non-sinners, but as the same time assures that the Lord will welcome into paradise anyone asking forgiveness for their sins before they die. It is the rich, not non-Christians, who he says will have the greatest difficulty getting into heaven. ;) There is also a body of thought out there that suggests that in the years before Jesus became a public figure, which is not accounted for in the Bible, he may have been exposed to ideas from Hinduism and Buddhism, possibly through travels or through his work. This idea provides some explanation for fundamental principles of love and forgiveness that are shared by these faiths, and perhaps also for the puzzling things Jesus says in the Gospel of Thomas, to name one such text.

Buddha's teaching (Buddha dharma) its universal, it for ALL BEINGS( all spiritual beings, even for the most lowly insects and all micro organisms) not to mention human being. Amitabha Buddha doesn't judges you! Whatever your system of beliefs wouldn't stop Amitabha Buddha from helping you to be liberate from cycle of birth and death. And HE wouldn't force you to forsake your present faith. Amitabha Buddha = Embodiment of "Great Perfect Compassion", HE' S the teacher of Great Compassionate Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara( Guan Yin Bodhisattva) Love for all being! May everyone learns on how to respect each other, despite of our systems of beliefs are! Let us all meditate in sending loving kindness to the entire world!
