Hey Teri since elements bath and body is no more, is there anyways we could get that spread sheet? My biggest challenge is knowing how much color to actually use? I know that lots of other people say that you should use .5 to 1.5 tsp per color but not any more accurate then that.
@ImGinaMarie4 жыл бұрын
What I learned from this....watch more of your video's, take notes, and learn math; mix all that with fun and creativity! Thank you so much for explaining how to do formulas, I've learned more math and science learning to make soap than I ever did in school! Question, how did you come up with the 45 and 55% of batter; the rest I got...(I think) lol
@zhajoura19874 жыл бұрын
I am fond of this. My question is for how long can get out colors (micas and titanium dioxyde) pre-prepared, especially if we are not regular soapers (I am just starting the soaping business). And yes I would love to see whatever tips, designs and soaps you make. Your voice and videos are like a therapy to me

Are you using olive oil from your separated portions or are you using additional olive oil to dilute your colors
@TreeMarieSoapworks3 жыл бұрын
I am using additional OO. It adds to the super fat. If you don't want to do it that way, you can use some of your batch oils. No problem. 😊

Hi. First of all, thanks so much for your videos. You are by far the most informative and helpful I've found on KZbin. I have a question... if I'm making a batch with multiple colors and mix the colors/titanium dioxide with olive oil, does that olive oil used to liquefy the colors effect the soap in any way?
@lb46602 жыл бұрын
Beautiful 🧼. But wow that's a lot of work. Looks hard. Easy to mess up.

Is this a cold press / room temp process?
@sarahjohnson14354 жыл бұрын
Loved this video, thanks for sharing. I've read you should temper shea butter before using it in soap making. Is that actually necessary?

Not necessary in soap making.....just pay attention to temps. make sure they are completely melted.

Hi Teri. In your video, you said this design could be made without the dividers. How would that work? I can’t figure it out!
@TreeMarieSoapworks4 жыл бұрын
Pour all of the color that used most first (wine), then lay in the white, after...add accent colors. Be advised the colors will not reach all the way to the bottom. But the basic design can still be achieved

Question: why do so many soap makers stress the vegan factor? I’m looking at using tallow in my soap (for far to many reasons to go into in a comment). I also need to stay away from using coconut oils and sweet almond oils due to dietary allergies in my family. I can’t seem to find any info on possibly still having allergic reactions after saponification. Which means I have to use my own recipe.
