Only Buddy's playing could throw a VHS tape out of tracking 👍👍

Watching Buddy play and having Ellis Tollin, a good friend of Buddy's, demonstrate Rogers Drums at his Music City store in Philadelphia, PA, convinced me to buy Rogers. Spent the extra $50 for the Dynasonic snare, as well. I was taking lessons there at the time.

Wow! What a musical tour de force he was. Unbelievable. I'm just glad I saw him in 67 on Rogers in London on his first appearance in England. You could have had any gig in town for all of England's drummers went to his concerts and especially to the clinic he did for Rogers. Maybe it was the Marine haircut but I kept seeing him as a Marine playing that piece. Weird. Thanks for posting. Buddy put more effort and energy into a single (and every) tune than most drummers do in a night. No wonder he had high expectations for his musicians. Thanks Buddy.

Anybody know if Buddy is playing the fibes snare drum here? Hard to tell... his stamina and Power alone makes my jaw hit the ground and the rest of his playing makes any drummer just throw in the towel and simply admire the spectacle that we will never see again. I think at this point in his career he was the best musician on the planet.

Looks like it's a Rogers. You can see the clock face throw off. If it's a Dynosonic I can't tell.

The Dyna was made for him! Of course he loved it. It was the Slingy he didn't like.

There have been so many superlatives said about buddy rich. Webster needs to go back and come up with new words to describe the greatness of the master drummer buddy rich. Just when you think that buddy is coming to the end of his solo he comes wailing back with more and more of a mind boggling climax. To this date no one and I mean no one can come close to buddy rich

Buddy totally disproved the theory that exercise prevents heart attacks.. If it were true? He would live to be 900 years old.

Was Buddy using a Rogers or Fibes snare here.

Buddy was using the Fibes snare drum in this video with the Rogers drums.

It was a Fibes drum til Rogers blew a gasket about him using it while they were paying him. Then Buddy had Bobby Grauso of Fibes make him a fiberglass snare with all Rogers Hardware. Hows that for faking out the public?
@danielboucher89813 жыл бұрын
You can tell it's the Fibes. The Dynasonics sound better, but everyone has to experiement a bit.
