Hello, Kosuke- I didn't know there was anyone out there who could play like Buddy , let alone have the technique and dedication to transcribe it, then show it to the world. I am a former drummer who was inspired by him early on. Sometime later, I was invited to sit in with a local big band for one tune and they asked me to choose. Looking through the book, I chose Critics Choice, because I liked it, and it had a short break I could attempt. Well, when it came up, I still had the original fill in my head when I was playing a simpler version! I almost lost it right there! That makes me appreciate you even more.

Thank you! The one from Swingin’ the New Big Band is more natural and it was the only Critics Choice before I listened to the sound clip that I used. Buddy went especially on explosion on this solo. But how he uses 6 strokes here is very technical. When I transcribe Buddy Rich, there is always some new stuff to learn and that what keeps me doing this for years.

Truly an underappreciated break. Excellent job!

Hi, I'm your long-time subscriber, and I witnessed how you started doing covers of Badie Rich, repeating his style and manner of playing. I know he's a great drummer, but I'd still like to ask you exactly what reasons he inspires you. By the way, you are one of my most favorite KZbinr drummers. I hope you're doing well in your personal life, and I wish you success in your hobby! With love from Russia.

Thank you for being a longtime subscriber!!! To me, Buddy Rich is the only drummer who not only amazed me so much but also entertained me and made me happy by playing the drum. Ever since that moment, Buddy became my ideal drummer and I have been practicing drums from his techniques. Thank you again and I’m doing my best to get as close as I can to my goals.

Usually it is the other way around. Usually you can figure out how to play something, but can't play it. Now, you can play it, but the fact you could transcribe THAT? Wow! I am not worthy...nice touch with the bomb at the end...
