Bernard "Buddy" Rich was an American jazz drummer and bandleader. Widely considered one of the most influential drummers of all time and known for his virtuoso technique, power, and speed, Rich was billed as "the world's greatest drummer" during his career. He performed with many bandleaders, most notably Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Count Basie, and led his own big band.

This entire album was excellent, delving more into jazz funk and boy did it do so. Buddy was such a driving force of nature.

@@dylangatenby9928 Really - Menza Nistico, later on Sonny Fortune, Marcus and this cat Hopkins - all virtuosi & kept Buddy relevant - let alone their charts put the drums in cool places & beats, Time Check Eg Buddy sounds like Philly Joe, plus tricks it up; the chart is by the mighty Menza (which might have been your comment?)

By the way I had a reliable source tell me that Hopkins inspiration for this wonderful chart was most likely the Mushroom Hunters Guide I believe not 💯 sure though
