This kit is only for 2WD because it has lift spindles which puts the hub in line with the lower control arms so no room for the axle. It will fit on a 4x4 truck if you remove 4x4.@@FOURFTP

Awesome video and even better dude. Ryland is always willing to share his knowledge and encourage people to dive into the hobby. Not only would my truck not have a front kit on it if it weren't for Ryland but I probably wouldn't have started to fabricate and build some of my own stuff, can't thank you enough 👊🤘
@KHN452 жыл бұрын
Hi. How can I contact Ryland? I am from Poland, and here the 1st gen Tacom is not very popular (I think about 3 for the whole country), not to mention building Pre Runner or Trophy Truck cars, because this topic is practically non-existent here. For a long time, I have had the intention of turning my 96 Tacoma into a Pre Runner. I've researched the topic a bit, I know how expensive it is, but before I start I'd like to talk to someone who cut their teeth on it.

The 1uz-fe is an outstanding engine. The 1st gen is not vvti but has thicker roads than the 2nd gen vvti. The vvti version has more torque on the low end due to the possibility to vary the intake cam timing.I've seen 1uz boosted at 29psi making 800 Ft-Lbs of torque at 3800rpm, a monster of an engine. However you need to drop you compression ratio to 8.5:1 for a boosted aplication. You can achieve that by machining 0.6mm out of the head of the pistons and by using a 96 tau head gasket bade by CONECTIC. Next you will need biger injectors (850cc should be ok), a surge tank and 2 bosh 044 fuel pomp to deliver that fuel to the injectors. A good ECU that has sequential timing for all 8 cil is the Halteck 2500. This engine suffers from oil starvation so for the begining you should Accusump it and maybee later dry sump it for a more healphy engine. Borg Warner S366SXE Turbo Smart 50mm Waste Gate ARP head studs (PN# 203 5407 you will need 2 boxes) ARP rod cap bolts PN# 134-6006 THAT SHOULD DO IT IN THERMS OF TORQUE AND POWER. Hi from Europe.

you should help him dial those coilovers and shocks in, not enough rebound! it doesnt matter that they are mixed and matched as long as they are setup properly. the truck looks like it needs more rebound out back and stiffer spring rate up front.
