Waste govt. After 50 or 60 aged people are using medicines for BP, sugar, insulin. what are the medical charges. Cost of BP,sugar, insulin ? Some are on dyalsis. All govts are same.

Stop wasting time debating income tax and start asking questions about indirect tax. If something needs to be abolished it's the indirect tax or double taxation. Debate and have an intellectual discussion on that.

I dont expect anything more than increasing standard deduction to 1L(saves 15K/10k depending on your slab) at best or increasing tax exempt income from 3->5L(Saves 10k on tax). Would prefer the former though. But they should definitely add tax exemption for NPS voluntary contribution(80CCD-50k INR) in New regime as employer contribution is already exempted & health insurance as these two are something which govt themselves are pushing people to opt for.

Govt should remove 30% slab and remove gst on medicines, hospital bills and insurance. Medical and insurance is not free despite paying high taxes, at least not put gst on top to suck more out of middle class

Preeti touched upon all the vital points that is necessary to be addressed in the Budget FY 2024-25. Savings Account INTEREST ACCRUED must be EXCLUDED upto a FLAT Amount of 4 Lakhs. For Fixed Deposit INTEREST ACCRUED ALSO must be EXCLUDED upto a FLAT Amount of 2 Lakhs. (The Age old exemption limit of 10 thousand Rupees is PEANUTS)
