Budget 2Low Transmission Install into Sgt Rock!

I've been slowly getting new parts for Sgt Rock in the hopes of making it a great hardliner crawler! The last item I installed was the NSDRC direct power steering servo which has been working out great (although I'm thinking I will need to also add a BEC since I was having some transmitter issues the last time out.)
I've been taking my parts ques from the Crazy Hardliners Crew I crawl with and have seen this transmission install on some of the other rigs. It's a copy of the Team Garage Hack 2Low transmission that is available on Amazon for around $36, which is four times as less as the TGH trans! I was also informed to stay away from the version with the clear plastic case as they have issues, so I ordered the one in the gunmetal case!
I also ordered a new creep body for Sgt Rock since the body I'm currently running isn't very military like and took a beating last time out, but that will have to be a topic for another video!

Thanks Brent! It’s been working out really good so far, I can definitely tell that it helps having the transmission sitting lower and a little more forward!

Excellent upgrade getting it in sounded like a bit of a hassle can't believe how far sgt rock has come since he fell off the Indoor course keen to see it run power control is so important to not break traction nice work Mike 👊

Thanks Mark! It did take a little bit of hobbying to get it in but that’s probably more due to using a Gspeed chassis. Good point about how far it’s come since the indoor course at Superstition Hobbies, I should go back and try again to see how all the upgrades have worked! Have you had any issues with the gears slipping on the shaft internally in this transmission?

@@kilroy1980 I was told by my friend that there were issues with the plastic case version so I picked up the one in the metal case, I haven’t had any issues so far and I’m pushing it pretty hard!
