I have the cloud up 2 and absolutely love it! The price to value is great on it. Only downside to me is the front entrance but still worth it to me

I use the nature hike cycling tent. With a few quality of life modifications it is the best tent I’ve used. It’s tight for some people, but it works perfectly for me (5’11)

I have the same pad. I love the Ice Flame quilt from Aliexpress. It has been warm down to 3 degrees celcius.This quilt compresses down really small! I also have the same pillow.

I am very impressed with my Naturehike Cloud Up 1. I've used it for 2 seasons now and when it's staked out properly, there is plenty of room for bikepacking. For bike touring (with panniers) I might consider the 2 person. A friend just bought that NH sleeping bag and he enjoyed it on the one trip we took together.

Oh man, I got these same tent and sleeping bag from naturehike for an upcoming camping trip for my first time. I'm stoked now! Thanks for the review!

I bike pack with a Burley Nomad trailer (my older bike can’t hold many bags). I use the NatureHike Mongar2 tent with the optional vestibule if heavy rain is in the forecast. Super easy setup and held up in heavy thunderstorms. I have a REI or Trekology pad depending on the season. Similar to my sleeping bag for the season - either a simple as a small NatiureHike down quilt for summer or a more serious sleeping bag for colder seasons. My sleep and shelter system by far takes up more space in my trailer than my food, cooking system, and clothes/toiletries.

Nice video. I’m also rocking the nature hike mongar 2p tent and the 290 sleeping bag. I use a big Agnes Q Corr slx mat and a basic MEC pillow

Thanks for a great video! I have the Nature Hike 2 person tent, which is more like a 1.5 person tent (I'm 5'4"). I also have the sleeping bag and the pillow and like them both. It's a great budget setup for anyone getting into bikepacking/bike touring.

Funny, I got the one man cloud up because it's huge for a 1 man tent. Wide wings and (actually too) long. I wish it was a bit wider and shorter. My dog can sleep in there with me and I can get most of my backpack inside (contents, not the pack itself). I wonder if you're staking it out? Or if you're just not used to one man tents.
@WheelsonaBike2 жыл бұрын
@@MountainVisions Yes, I am staking it out and no, I'm definitely not used to one-person tents. Frankly, I'm not (or was not) used to tents at all when I started using it.
@MountainVisions2 жыл бұрын
@@WheelsonaBike my actual complaint and not with the tent but with any tunnel tent is the entry. I struggle to worm into it. Especially if it's wet out. I would much prefer a large side door. But the price and size of this (which is a knockoff of the big Agnes fly creek) is perfect and as little as I use a one man tent, it's fine. At some point I'll shell out for a ideal side entry that weights and packs down the same. But my guess, I'll be spending $400 for a tent I spend 6 nights in most years when I go solo or solo with my dog. Just too much cash to drop on something that is a luxury.
@pedroclaro78222 жыл бұрын
@@MountainVisions definitely a luxury item.for such a small problem imho. I'm using a hammock system and there are some caveats like the entry, but otherwise it's not worth the investment unless i actually go on a world tour

Good video, nice to see the budget gear available works OK for bikepacking. How do you pack this gear on the bike? Would the tent fit in a handlebar bag with drop bars?
@LockedinCycling11 ай бұрын
Thanks and it depends on bike I bike pack with but usually the tent minus poles fit in 1 of my fork bags
